Sunrise Wildlife Spotting - Today we spent the day touring the mangroves in Sundarban National Park by boat. Spotted the most amazing animals: The common kingfisher, estuarine crocodiles, spotted deer, wild boar, egrets, white breaded kingfisher, brown winged kingfisher, storks, water monitor lizard, and of course Rhesus macaque. Sundarban Reserved Forest is a natural biodiversity hot spot. - We adore wildlife photography but wow, it is so hard to even spot wildlife let alone shoot it from a moving boat! Makes us appreciate the BBC Earth photographers and how incredible they really are! Luckily we had the most amazing guides with us, Jay and boat captain Cochi, @manjit4u who are super pros and spotted loads for us to help us out. - Tour de Sundarban are absolute legends and we can't thank them enough for such a beautiful day. Sundarban Eco Village, Dayapur - We've landed in beautiful Eco Village in Sundarban National Park, 3 hours south of Kolkata for a 2 day tour. Sundarban is the biggest Mangroves system in the world and home to the Royal Bengal Tiger, declared UNESCO site in 1987. Sundarbans National Park is shared by India and Bangladesh. After a 2 hour boat journey to reach the village with the new crew, we were welcomed with the most delicious lunch where the food just didn't stop coming! Amazing food! With all of our bellies very full and satisfied, Jay then gave us a tour/evening stroll around the village and the rice fields, which was stunning.
