Aright, I really, really wanted to read a story about Jason and Royale. So I wrote one myself!

A wave of heat washed over them. A massive blaze lit up the night sky over the New Angelique. A chain reaction triggered by a massive stockpile of ammunition and detonators set the entire ship ablaze, sending sparks flying as debris fell into the silent ocean. Jason watched the scene unfold, when suddenly a wave of dizziness hit him. It felt as though the ground beneath his feet wasn’t solid, but something soft and swaying, like fabric. It was the aftereffect of spending too long at sea and then returning to land—land sickness. The whole world seemed to spin. He steadied himself against the railing, drawing on his training as he slowed his breathing.
