Royale Ball
In college, we have that what we call Acquaintance Party. The purpose of it was for the students to make new friends, to have an adjustments for their new surroundings, and to get acquainted with old students, faculty and staffs. And I belong to a department where socializing is a must for my course. This is going to be exciting I think.
Last three years ago, I was in my first year in college. Our acquaintance was held at J Centre Mall Convention Center with the theme of Glam Rock. When I was on my second year, it was held at Oakridge Pavillion, and the theme was Vintage. Last year, we had our acquaintance party at Cebu Grand Hotel with the theme of Black and White: Night in Paris. This yearwe had our acquaintance back at J Centre Mall Convention Center. And our theme was Royale Ball! It was decided by the SBM (School of Business and Management) officersThe theme made me so excited but at the same time worried. Hell, where would I get a ballgown for free or at a lower price at least??? Naaaahh!!
After the meeting of the officers, me and my friends went to Colon searching for the ballgown. It was so tiring. We had to enter shop to shop looking for the best one. To think that there were many shops there located far from each other and we had to went each one we knew. Well actually I didn’t knew anything about were to rent a ballgown, it’s Jayde who guided us. Thanks a lot to her. So that’s it. We went walking, entering shops and my feet started to ache. But it was worth the pain because we had our gown for the ball. I got one from the Noelle West. It’s just simple and cool to the eyes. I didn’t want to wear those gowns with many styles. So I settle on the mint green color which fits my complexion, and that was according to my friends, Jayde, Radel, Flordelli and Filvit :)
August 1, 2015- The day we have been long waited came at last! everyone of us looked elegant, all in different looks. Guys were so handsome and girls so chick with their princess attire. Supposedly, all fourth year tourism students were assigned to be the usherettes of the faculty and students as well. But it was not done. I didn’t know why. And the task given to us by the Council of Presidents was- after party, which means we were in charge of the cleaning of the place after the program.
