Royale Ball
In college we have that what we call Acquaintance Party. The purpose of it was for the students to make new friends, to have an adjustments for their new surroundings, and to get acquainted with old students, faculty and staffs. And I belong to a department where socializing is a must for my course. This is going to be exciting I think.
Last three years ago, I was in my first year in college. Our acquaintance was held at J Centre Mall Convention Center with the theme of Glam Rock. When I was on my second year, it was held at Oakridge Pavillion, and the theme was Vintage. Last year, we had our acquaintance party at Cebu Grand Hotel with the theme of Black and White: Night in Paris. This yearwe had our acquaintance back at J Centre Mall Convention Center. And our theme was Royale Ball! It was decided by the SBM (School of Business and Management) officersThe theme made me so excited but at the same time worried. Hell, where would I get a ballgown for free or at a lower price at least??? Naaaahh!!
After the meeting of the officers, me and my friends went to Colon searching for the ballgown. It was so tiring. We had to enter shop to shop looking for the best one. To think that there were many shops there located far from each other and we had to went each one we knew. Well actually I didn’t knew anything about were to rent a ballgown, it’s Jayde who guided us. Thanks a lot to her. So that’s it. We went walking, entering shops and my feet started to ache. But it was worth the pain because we had our gown for the ball. I got one from the Noelle West. It’s just simple and cool to the eyes. I didn’t want to wear those gowns with many styles. So I settle on the mint green color which fits my complexion, and that was according to my friends, Jayde, Radel, Flordelli and Filvit :)
August 1, 2015- The day we have been long waited came at last! everyone of us looked elegant, all in different looks. Guys were so handsome and girls so chick with their princess attire. Supposedly, all fourth year tourism students were assigned to be the usherettes of the faculty and students as well. But it was not done. I didn’t know why. And the task given to us by the Council of Presidents was- after party, which means we were in charge of the cleaning of the place after the program.

Best of Korea
Last week, my classmate had a birthday and she treated us out for dinner at a Korean restaurant. Yes Korean. And me, I don’t have anything about the food from Korea except for the kimchi and nothing more. Together we went to Pearl’s Meatshop and Restaurant located beside The Strip,Cebu Provincial Capitol Site
I ordered short plate which cost 200 pesos. But there were other menu to order. While waiting for our food, I was wondering what it tastes like and how does it looks like. A few minutes later, the waiter brought to us the sauce. It smelled so much pepper on it. Next, she brought fresh pechay arrange in pieces. There’s also veggeis chopped with pepper and seasoning. And of course, the kimchi. Kimchi is made up of vegetables with seasonings stocked. I took a piece of it and smelled it. It tasted so spicy, sour with a little sweet and soooo yummy! Its challenging to ate this kind of Korean food. They also had their soup, if I could still remember it was called tofu, I never bothered to taste it because of its odor that I didn’t understand. It smell like the meat of the goat called chevon or its waste. So gross! I really don’t like it. I think I would vomit if I’m going to eat it. The color was like the food that you vomit!
And then, the rice. Its like puto, the one we usually eat in the morning and dip down on a hot chocolate. Its color brown grains and its sticky too. I think I’m going to like it! There’s a Filipino part in it because of their rice.
Then the waiter came with the meat sliced thin and arranged in a circular order on a white plate. It looked so fresh with its pinkish red and a little white color on it.
So I started cooking the meat. I forgot, on the table, there was just a set up for cooking, there’s the frying pan on the center. I started putting the meat on the pan. It smells so delicious. The color of the meat started to change into pale and then to brown. I picked the brown one and ate it slowly, feeling the taste of its oil and juice. Its so delicious, I could feel the meat and its juices on my mouth. I tried to dip it on the sauce.
Aside from their food that has full of spices, I also enjoy frying the meat. The feeling was so great. And even more when you have your friends with you! :)
