how do you make dandelion lemonade? sounds delicious…

I’m a really imprecise cook, so my measurements are not exact, they’re just kind of general ratios. I normally make about a gallon, but split it into two half gallon pitchers (so it’s an easy recipe to halve), but I’ll write this out like it’s going in one pitcher.

I collect about 4 cups worth of dandelion heads, and then thoroughly wash them. I toss them in the pitcher with the juice of four lemons plus one cup of sugar* And then I just fill the jug with hot tap water. You can do cold, but the warmer water brings out more flavor from the dandelions & makes dissolving the sugar easier, so I do hot.

Let it sit for a couple of hours, and then you can remove the dandelion heads. Or leave them in if you don’t mind drinking around them.

*you could easily up this to two cups. I’m not a big sweet drink person, so this is to taste. Also I like to use fine sugar because this dissolves easier. You could instead make a sugar syrup or use honey if you prefer.

this is an extremely fair assessment and also why /i/ stayed away from iwtv for a pretty long time (i truly couldn't care for lestat he's so annoying to me) but louis and claudia both are characters of All Time to me... claudia especially makes me so miserable if i think about her for too long :((( both actresses for claudia are absolute stars and their performances are sooo good i rlly do think the series is worth watching for her. but also jacob anderson literally Actor of our generation dude is crazay talented i need that man on the stage

lestat is like. he's fucked. i hate that white man. but the great thing is that you spend all of season 1 wanting him to get fucked to hell and then it does happen and it's awesome and then louis falls back down into the fucking hole again. he's always doing that it's like it's his curse or something

anyways! worth watching if you wanna get into The Horrors also i'm having lots of fun with these fucked up old men but also i completely understand not doing so bc i was also there yk. but claudia she's out there. the Character

i had a lot of conflicting feelings about the execution vs concept of archive undying i'd love to see your thoughts when you read!

more to say later, maybe, but i had to dnf at ~20-25%. it has a lot of interesting premises and maybe in another book i would have loved the story very much. however, the characters were so annoying that i could not keep reading i’m SORRY! they all felt like fanfiction tropes shoved into human-shaped vessels. there was not a single character introduced who i looked at and felt like i could get interested in, least of all the main character. also the writing style really irked me it was at once weirdly light and oddly convoluted in a way that made it seem as if it was trying to be, like, Deep or intellectual but just came off as Bad Writing. maybe i’ll try it again some other time and finish it but tbh i have better books to read right now.
