Long time waiting for this reply, I know, sorry. Ludger Riesenratte is based on an idea that most scary villains are those who seem charming and kind, and nice and you just want to be friends with them, and on the one that nazi officera were also people, and they could kill people one hour, and then get back to their family and be a father on the other. Also this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYV1yfmUGYY Ludger has a rank of SS-untersturmführer, and serves in occupied France, in Lyon, where he lives the best life, going to cafes for cake and coffee, flirting with women, and firmly believing nazi occupation is the best that could happen to this beautiful country he’s in. He’s charismatic, seems careless and not focused on his job at all, but don’t be fooled, he would be able to mercilessely execute civillains himself if this will be needed. Especially if this ensures he still gets to spend his time in the city, and not somewhere on the eastern front. I would actually want to see what happens to him if he ever gets in trouble end ends up having to actually fight in mud, blood and snow. I suppose this would make him absolutely miserable. This would be cruel, but I’m not sorry. I write about him with @the-great-saphenous-disdain who has their own character, an absolute pain in the ass of a stickler, has a higher rank than Ludger and absolutely hates him.
