shout out to me for rping while only using data because my power was out for 24 hours
real talk, if I’m roleplaying as a (non-black) guy on tumblr I can’t help but to lean towards shipping them with black women. Because; 1. Black chicks wind up with very little ships. 2. Black muses are the most neglected on tumblr. Everyone knows there’s a bias. 3. If a interracial ship does happen in the rpc; there’s been many times when white female muses (who also shipped with the male) get very antagonistic and upset. so basically it’s my instinct going; ‘hey fuck that’
this is... a sparkly magical girl jasper. ok. carry on
I've felt untreated fairly before the rpc. Following people in a small fandom who will follow anyone BUT me. Interacting with a seemingly nice person who often went, oops! I always loose your threads for some reason! Silly me! While they consistently roleplay with others. And ofc, there's been times where i make a blog for a white male oc and people eager to talk. Eager to write even if they told me they; "Always lose my threads." Liking each post I make. It made me very uncomfortable to remain on such blogs. But I'm trying to get over it. A few days ago I encountered this subtle situation once more. I follow a blog on my white oc- instant follow back. I follow on my black chick - ignore. Now, this would have bothered me regardless but, what really got me? How i was placed in a position to be aware of the other party's blogs. How when i ask, why is this blog uninteresting to you, its because interaction is unlikely. Though their business worlds are highly similar. I speak up on it. I talk about how it uncontrollably bothers me when ny black females are slept on whereas I'm getting messages about handsome my male oc is. I hear, oh i love poc ocs. I didnt mean to offend! There should be so many more of them! And I'm like, if she and other white writers share this thought: why aren't you looking for characters of color? For writers of color? If they follow you and you truly wish to support them; maybe you should read these character's bios? follow back? And you're a writer. In a writing community. Imagine a situation that WOULD lead their interaction. The truth is, for the most part, its not about deciding if these characters can REALLY interact. Its cause you have a bias and searching for characters that hit certain points of criteria.

i tend to avoid shipping my white muses w other whites, this is v #relatable
i worried if it sounded weird. but i’m glad i’m not alone on this. i’ve been around too many white female muses who within a day are like; ‘wow! our characters are similar!’ / ‘wow ur guy is so cool!’ / ‘i have a friend who’d really like to write with him...will u pls follow?’
but if i follow you on one of my black girls i’m not seeing that shit be said. i might not even get a follow back from you. and usually if i ever messaged someone who rps a white guy and said that type of stuff; i’m going to get ignored af or look thirsty.
