among a group of friends in the post graduate science department along with kang (dalnim 8), cha --- amd lucy choe, all united by a love of science and an interest in human or genetic development

one night when they were totally NOT drinking in the lab to celebrate a successful experiment, she convinced the quartet to take cheek swabs and run their dna through the school's pcr machine and gene screening equipment

thought it would be funny if they wound up with weird markers or that it would lead lucy or kang to find their birth families

now feeling somewhat guilty and worried that whatever was in kang's report scared her so much that she ran away or did something rash because shortly after they ran those sequences kang suddenly vanished

between the guilt and the stress over her research, she's starting to freak out more and is trying to get support from her friends in the snu charity sisters organization

she used to be in the organization's grad student committee until her program got too intense, but to chase away her guilt, she might return to those duties to "outrun her thoughts"

a path thight might have a negative effect on her studies and the phd she's been working so hard for

can her friends bring her back from the brink? or will she crash and burn?

as the son of kim ki moon and lee min young, two scions of chaebol families, his path has never been in doubt - place 1st in his business school programs, join the board of the blue dragon bank (which has been in the family four generations now), marry a society girl from a "proper" family, have a son to secure the line and increase the bank's profitability and therefore the family fortune

his natural interests and wants don't even come into play, this is the will of his father and grandfather

he has no idea that his father fathered a daughter during his school days...or that this daughter appealed for his help to save her ailing mother and was rebuffed

however this will come out soon - his father didn't word his will properly (the text reads that the inheritor of the family shares and board seat will go to his "firstborn," assuming the firstborn is over 25) and has never bothered to fix the problem...and his angry daughter is being trained to assassinate him

upon learning of his half sister's existence, how will he react? will he try to bridge the gap between them despite his mother's and other relatives horror at her claim? will he see her as the perfect excuse to abdicate a future he never wanted to pursue his own passions? or will he defend his family's legacy?

should he discover mi eun's role in their father's eventual death and the lengths she went to to achieve it, will that change his opinion? can he see the lonely, damaged girl under the angry exterior? can he convince her that her current allies don't care for her?

and should the worst happen, will he come into his own and use his wealth and society connections to eliminate the people who ordered his father's assassination and manipulated his half sister into doing the deed and agreeing to a process that her body cannot support?

while dan bi is desperate to dissolve the marriage, seo jun doesn't as he has long liked her and now he has an excuse to woo her properly

a huge baseball fan and he got really excited when inoue was sent from the japanese major leagues to the korean league

now often watches or goes to doosan bears games

has mentioned several times that he thinks the bears' star player goh looks exactly like his squadmate woo

humours his commanding officer when chan yeol tries to speak japanese to him in his terrible accent

wondering if he should take up chan yeol's offer for help in securing a date (even though he's never actually seen him get a woman's number) since he's not sure how to approach his new crush - snu star sprinter bae

the difficulty of admitting he's crushing on bae is twofold...she's the younger sister of his squadmate and therefore the daughter of the mayor

figures that if his squadmate doesn't approve, the mayor certainly won't and he knows she has the power to send him far from seoul

with his roommate, noh dae hyun, he embraced the party life and loved to enjoy himself - getting censured for showboating and drawing attention to himself by dr. hong and unit napoli. twice

despite the fact that he was keen on enjoying being under cover as a student, he surprised everyone by being the first gen 2 clone to capture their target when he apprehended ban yoon seo (and his fiancée) as they left an acrimonious family dinner with yoon seo's parents in november 2025

got to stay in his cover at ku until the term but in february 2026 when the new academic year began he was told he was being sent to infiltrate the army in order to track a new haemosu clone target (haemosu 16/hong)

assigned to the unit with his target and combat medic gwon nam gil

not liking the military's "boring" rules and regulations, feeling that if he wanted to follow such things, he could have stayed on the compound...so he's been sneaking off base to meet up with dae hyun to go out and party

will he surprise everyone again by capturing a second target?

will he humour nam gil's attempts to treat him like a brother or mentee?

while he's climbed the ranks to lieutenant, his commanding officer jang chan yeol is not impressed with his tendancy to rush into dangerous situations to rescue people or pets against orders

the fact that he hasn't been demoted or censured comes down to the fact that he's never lost anyone he's gone into rescue (his enhanced speed, strength and reflexes make this possible)

is chan yeol right to fear that all the attention and praise for his "heroic" actions will go to his head?

if he should learn about his true origins, how will he react? will he be shaken or inspired by the fact his track record as a firefighter is down to someone tinkering with his genome?

and will he need to accept protection and have to hang back for the first time once he realises he has a target on his back?

or will he due something stupid and surrender himself to save his squad...and rescue his fellow clones?
