At home, Joanne has a french bulldog named “Juno”. Not too long ago, Juno was bred and gave birth to puppies who are now grown and all sleep in Joanne’s bed with him when he’s home.

Sucked Down Another Hole...

So. I’m in the middle of a very fun RP with my bestie. It is a pretty big AU as only one of the characters is actually from anything other than our own imaginations, and we’re making up a world for them as we go, but as it is set in a court during an undefined period of time (sort of a cross between Tudor and Regency, but with gunpowder replaced with a specific type of magic) a matching set of jewels with a tiara was mentioned. For shiggles, I decided to try and find a few different tiaras so I could post an image of one I thought fit best. ... I wound up on a very nice blog called “The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor”, cruising through their “Top 15 Tiaras” list. Um. And since then I have spent about six hours of my day going through their “Tiara Thursday” tag and posts. Because my magpie brain cannot look away.

I also learned that a matching set of jewels like my character was presented with is called a “parure”. Which is really cool. I can fling that term about in our period RPs now. Um. So. A link. Yes. Because it must be shared. ... And you all might soon be subjected to a post of my favorite tiaras because WHY THE HECK NOT?!
