i DID make a sideblog but im too SHY and EMBARRASSED to post about my half cooked rpf ideas. i also thought you were into rpf idk why maybe i got you confused with another jrwi blogger im so embarrassed

you mightve......................and yea, i don't have a problem with it but i don't Actively Engage in it either- i will say i have like 2 exceptions of rpf things i will ALWAYS promote and recommend and they're both charlie slimecicle au longfics. you heard it first from charlie (2012 (the movie)-inspired fic that crushes my soul whenever i remember it and also holds so so much hope + has like one (1) jrwi reference) and paradoxicle (reverse isekai rpf. it is so so fun it has so much jrwi focus it got me to start watching grizzlyplays outside of jrwi because watching the subplot of them going through The Horrors was extremely amusing to me. comedic even. also you get a LOT of benefit out of having watched Certain jrwi campaigns before reading it. there's like one pd-related lore mistake but it's ok because it works well for the fic)

ive been so into the idea of plural condi lately, especially during that whole isaac car sequence. its soooo. he got so into that headspace of being a fuck up kid again and hes forgetting this is a horror roleplay and his teen angst holder/protector is there feeding into it (maybe an isaac alter) and then Bam hes jumpscared by the body horror. does this make any sense

rpf anon here. i like knowing your opinion on stuff i find that's apparently controversial. or any other stuff.

i saw someone on my dash getting asks about how rpf is normal and the one getting the asks said that rpf is bad and doesn't have the consent of the person they're writing about so is weird.

i grew up reading rpf. and i never saw anything bad by it. I even wrote it and i even wrote gay pairings about real people.

Ever since i entered tumblr i haven't felt the same way i did for rpf tho.

I'm even thinking of taking down some fics i wrote in 2016 bc i don't like thinking or reading or writing for real people anymore. So getting votes (it's on wattpad) on those stories makes me go like ehhhh.

I feel weirded out to put it bluntly. I was thinking of changing the stories characters to marvel ones.

honestly i think 999999% of everything u see on the internet and in fandom is variable. like i think this black and white view of "this is bad, this is good" is mostly bc the people in fandoms tend to be younger, and when ur younger, it's much easier to say "this is black and white" than to critically analyze and develop a nuanced opinion on things

like I've written eduardo saverin/mark zuckerberg fanfic based off the social network. are they technically real people? yes. am i writing about THOSE real people? no, absolutely not. I'm writing about their fictional counterparts/characters.

and yeah, like i said, everything is variable. ive read rlly good hockey rpf and enjoyed it as a story, I've read actor rpf and enjoyed it, etc. people can have fun how they want. but sometimes, there are real effects. like i don't think the whole tom holland/zendaya thing is healthy, bc it genuinely impacts them.

everything is variable, and nothing as a whole is definitively bad or wrong, or whatever. anyway, if u feel uncomfy, i 100% understand that. i don't think i could ever write rpf, but who knows! a year ago i thought I'd never post porn to ao3 but i have, so. who knows.

This thought also came to mind, and I felt I should share, since we’ve been sharing sub feels lately! (providing you like roller coasters/thrill rides) it’s a lot like riding a thrilling roller coaster. It may be intimidating at first, it’s always better to start off small/slow, but once you get into it, it can be /so/ fun and freeing. It’s all about safety. If roller coasters didn’t have lap belts/harnesses, it for one, wouldn’t be safe, and second would be scary as hell! Who would want to get whipped around in the air without feeling /completely safe/ first. Even some of those rides that back in the day only had a lap /belt/, now have a lap /bar/. Even if the likelihood of the belt breaking and you falling out was pretty much non existent, it’s good to feel that extra security of a strong bar to hold you in. (Safewords, you can /probably/ go into a small/mild scene without one, especially if it’s with someone you’ve been with for awhile, but it’s good to know you have one, just in case, even if you pretty much know you’re not going to need it this time.)

And with roller coasters, I know I’m a big time screamer. I love them to death, I’ll do them all day, but I scream like mad. I love the anticipation of going up a big hill, and the freedom of feeling like you’re safely falling as the coaster goes down. You’re safely giving up all control of your body, and that’s the thrill of it! You’re being taken on a wild ride, and you love every second of it. Even if you sometimes feel like you’re being jerked around a lot, sometimes to the point where you know you’re going to have a weird bruise (I’ve had bruised thighs after a long day of riding roller coasters, lol. By the end of the day I was /sore/, but it didn’t stop me from riding as many as I could, even if I knew it might hurt a tiny bit when my legs got pushed on the bruising spots.) You know you’re safe, and you’re the one that put yourself on that ride in the first place. You may be screaming “make this thing stop!” through laughs, but the second you get off, even if your head’s spinning, you think. “I’ve gotta go on another one!”

ANON! I love sharing sub feels with you :) Ironically I don't go on big roller coasters because they make me feel iffy B U T I do like some thrill rides and regardless this is a really good metaphor!! It's controlled danger if you will ;) And good lord am I a screamer too haha the thrill rides I've been I just scream nonstop to get my energy out. Giving control over to something that may push your limits but you trust to keep you safe.
