the real question with hudcon is top or bottom hudson?

i really am a bottom hudson truther but there is a sad lack of it in the hudcon ao3 tag :( that said i have read many beautiful fics in that tag with dynamics that aren’t my Preference. my thing with hudcon is you can sell me on either as long as the characterization is good. hudson needs to be a little bit of a whiny pathetic dog in heat doing tricks and begging for connor’s validation and i’ll eat it up…..definitely not as #strict as i am with hollanov but my preference is strong. also a lot of hudcon fic is moreso like how many different ways can we fuck without actually fucking? and that invites all sorts of wonderful dynamics that i love.

/gen question what’s your stance on the real vs not real of hudcon irl

Short answer: I don’t think hudcon is real.

Long answer: while I do think Connor is gay and Hudson is bisexual which puts me in truther territory, I don’t think hudcon have romantic feelings for each other or have ever fucked. In reality, just like they have talked about, they just have a very intimate friendship and enjoy expressing their love physically— something that we’re not used to openly seeing from two men which makes it easy to construe in other ways!

I personally find it fun to make up stories about them being together in some way, but I’m never writing things because I think they’re true; I’m writing because 1) it interests me and 2) to me, RPF is extra satisfying to try to write believably because they’re actual people who carry a lot of unknowable complexity (see my pinned post lol). And I’m not going to get into the girlfriend of it all, but I do think her and Hudson’s relationship is really cute which makes me even less invested in the idea of hudcon being “real”

Rapid fire: Do I think Hudson could be poly in real life? Sure but it’s none of my fucking business. If hudcon ever became real, would I feel validated? Honestly not really. Do I think they possibly have some sexual attraction for each other on top of their awesome friendship? …I plead the fifth.
