Happy 1979, my little pets!

I’m sure the new year will bring it’s usual wonder and joy and the usual shit we prescribe to the changing of a date.

Our owlery is always open, feel free to drop rumors, malicious or otherwise (though malicious is preferred). We’re also always accepting letters to the editor about anything you’d like, just you know, try to make it coherent. 

Miss Flourish will be keeping us up to date, as always, about the bumblings of the Auror department. If you see something, say something, or better yet let @pandora-flourish know and we’ll print something.

Miss Vance will be diligently reporting and responding to all your social events (though the likelihood of her participating is low-professionalism and what not). If you weren’t elite or tragic enough to secure an invitation to Mr. Burke’s funeral, @theemvance will be able to delight you with the tale of mourning. If you see anything else of interest to wizards or witches beyond yourself, Emmeline is your go to source.

Madame Realta (who most certainly isn’t @cleonaodempsey) will as always, be providing us with her stellar wisdom shortly, so be on the look out for what January and 1979 have in store for you, according to the stars.

The great thing about Phoenixes is we always rise again.

If I haven’t heard from you, I’ll be contacting you, and if I don’t hear from you in about a week, I’ll be reopening roles/removing OCs.

I’ve got some great plans cooking for us, I love each and every one of you and am so glad you’ve stuck around, no matter what.

Activity parameters have been updated starting this week! If Academic Hiatus applies to you, or if you have any questions, please message the main.

GENERAL ACTIVITY-For each character a player has, a thread must be started or participated in, once every 7 days or they are in danger of being placed on activity check. Admins will check in on players before an official activity check is enacted. Once the check is enacted, players have 7 days to respond to the admin before the character(s) will be reopened.

ACADEMIC HIATUS-For players in school, there is the option of Academic Hiatus. Players will have 10 days, instead of 7, to post threads and respond to admins. If a player is on Academic Hiatus, there needs to be in character reasons crafted to explain a character’s lack of activity on the dash.

HIATUS- Players can always request hiatuses, for either all of or separate muses. Time of hiatus is to be negotiated with the admin team. Before a player goes on hiatus, they must first create an in-game reason why their character(s) will not be active for the time period they’re away. Hiatuses will be generally granted unless admins see viable reason otherwise. Overuse or abuse of hiatuses is grounds for dismissal from the RP.  If you're having a character take a hiatus, academic or otherwise, please make an in character post explaining and use the tag #rphoenixhiatus
