This doesn't make you terrible. You have to look out for yourself when people do that, and they can say you're selfish, but if you don't have a groundwork of self respect and care, what do you have? Don't let people guilt you like that, intentionally or not, ever. I'm sorry it happened though. It sucks when it does.

I agree, that doesn't make you terrible. Whether your friend meant to or not, they were still emotionally manipulating you and in my opinion, that's not something a true friend would do.

“I-I told you, I’ll be okay...!” He grunted, attempting to stand up, although a sharp pain in his leg quickly sent him back onto his knees.  “I-I’ll be fine...! Jus’ go, already!” He growled, aware of how rude he sounded but he was too embarrassed to be seen in such a state by anyone, especially a complete stranger.

Thank you. I’m not gonna go and remake the tweets or anything, but it helps a little bit that I seem to be the one reacting most strongly to it.
