The girls were horrible for doing this, he thought. “Thank you.” He felt bad for her. It’s not like she even looked bad in it! But you could read the shame on her face. He wanted to reassure her, but just didn’t know quite how at that moment.

The deed was done. She could move on to the next person in the school now that she had handed at least one of those crummy flyers out. Turning on her heel slowly, she took a brief look back over her shoulder with her rosy cheeks. She had seen that boy around the school a few times, but it had been the first time she had actually talked to him. She began to wonder who he was and why he always seemed so excited.

Unfortunately, her klutzy behaviour got the best of her, not paying attention to where she was going and tripping over one of the steps to the locker area. Though ungraceful, the lower-classman threw her hands out in front of her, as if swimming through the air, though landing on her front in the end.
