Liliana sighed. “Erik, you’ve been holed up in here for days. That isn’t healthy. You know that fresh air is good for you. I mean... you are the physician after all.” She smirked as she walked across the room and leaned against a bookcase closer to her boss. She folded her arms across her chest and rose her brow. “It’s been a minimal effort needed morning. I think the knights can bandage up their minor cuts without us.” She grinned as she continued, “besides, I know a place that makes the best breakfast. If we leave now, we’d get there in an hour if we walk fast. And wouldn’t have to deal with busy setting.”

You Don’t Mind, Do You?

Whitney slid into a vacant seat across from someone and gave them a small smile. It was partly forced but that was due to her current state of hunger. They seat was empty and there was zero indication of it being saved. In the busy center of the market, Whit only needed fifteen minutes to stuff her face then get back to work. She already peeled back the wax wrapper to her deli sandwich and brought it to her lips before looking the stranger in the eye and raising her brow, “you don’t mind, right?” It would be absurd to be so rude as to reject her. “You can have some of my sweet potato fries.” She grinned before her attention was back on her veggie burger, taking a large bite, and settled into her stiff chair.

Size Matters

Lavender, the size of a small field mouse, glanced behind as she jumped down and out of a large shrub off of the path through the North of the Fevered Forest. Her legs ached from the long voyage while being so... small. The feeling that came from learning a new ability was overwhelming, in the best possible way. However, her feet were not immune to tiredness. Without looking back in front of her, she closed her eyes and released her breath, forcing herself to grow to her usual size. As the morph ended, she opened her eyes and collided into someone. Hissing in slight pain, she took a step back while rubbing her head.

As her vision corrected, her brain finally begun to process what happened. “S-sorry,” she stuttered, praying they weren’t going to ask how she was able to go from six inches to five and a half feet tall.

Rabbit Food

“There we go,” Whitney grinned to herself as she slowly moved her hands out of the tote which balanced a prey-friendly (vegetarian) shepherd’s pie on top of a house salad. She closed her eyes, taking a moment to breathe in her ‘hard work’ before grabbing her coat and shrugging it on. She tied the belt around her waist then propped up her note to her husband and son on the counter next to a smaller pie pan in case the two men didn’t eat before getting in for the night.

The door groaned behind her as she closed it before checking it was locked. It wasn’t a long trip to the inn but seemed just long enough to enjoy the fresh air. She danced between people, wearing a pleased smile to be out and just to have plans. Sure, Haigha was Wallace’s friend first, but the mother rabbit and hare found that they had more in common than they first thought: especially their concern for Wallace.

Whitney pushed open the front door to the inn open and smiled at the sight of her old friend. She walked up and threw her open arm around his shoulders to give him a hug before stepping back. “Haigha. I’ve missed you! Hope you’re hungry. Brought plenty to feed five mouths -- or two famished ones.” It didn’t matter much to the rabbit if the lobby was busy or what the hare was in the middle of completing. It was dinner time, the food was still warm enough that they didn’t have to reheat if they could sit soon.

Night of No Worries

Liliana didn’t expect so much of Wonderland to attend the coronation. She glanced around, catching quick reads of the faces around her as she walked towards the arrangements; needing a drink already after only twenty minutes in the belly of the beast. She took a deep breath as she walked passed a tall floral arrangement, letting herself smile and reach out and pluck a small bloom before tucking it between two fingers. If she could focus on the moment, on enjoying her free night away from work, then maybe she would then learn how to better relax throughout the week. That was a good short term goal.

She let out a sigh as she reached the champagne end of the beverage table. After a long sip her tension started to release from her bare shoulders. Why didn’t she do this more often? Her eyes scanned the room again, hoping to maybe find a friendly face among the otherwise strange crowd. A smirk tugged on her lips as she found someone she definitely didn’t expect to see tonight. He looked well though. Liliana rose her glass towards him from across the large room and smiled as their eyes found one another. Maybe tonight wouldn’t be so bad after all.

expanse of knowledge

With ‘hushed’ rumors roaming through the halls of the palace and an overall spread of good health, Liliana wasn’t needed indoors today -- or so she declared. While she did check in on her mentor, she hadn’t planned to stay longer than a quick briefing and explanation that she was headed for The Woodland. She fibbed and told him that she believed there would be journals and documents available to the town’s people that would otherwise be off limits or marked as unimportant.

The short walk through the woods eased Lavender’s mind that was previously worrying of the latest announcement -- a new king. But who, her mind pondered yet again before she had left the palace grounds. Outside however, away more or less from the influencers and rumors, Lil was one with the environment - as Nature intended. She followed the path markers and received directions to the library when she stopped for a small lunch.

Inside the library, Liliana let out a once held in sigh. How long had it been since a monarch appointed doctor researched outside the castle? She smirked to herself as pride settled in, boosting her ego to an almost bizarre level. The garden nhypm turned towards the first person she could find and tried to be gentle, kind. “Hi. Do you know where I kind find... journals or publishings of illnesses in Woodland?”
