The long-lost twin of the late emperor is snuck into the palace to replace his brother. Guided by his sister-in-law, the empress, he must learn to navigate the dangers lurking within the court.
For a realistic historical drama, this is some niiiice RR rep, but it's ultimately egalitarian with some RR-leaning until it eventually settles into egal. FL is cold, aloof, and kinda mean, ML is innocent, sweet, and gentle and has strong I-can-fix-her energy.
