Has Mack Uncovered The Truth About John?!

I'm not surprised that this is Aaron's reaction. He's terrified to let Rob all the way back in again. Remember during the reunion in 2018 when they were in the garage and Aaron talked about how his feelings for Robert scared him because of just how much he loves him. Losing Rob to prison and then Rob divorcing him and cutting off all contact the way he did, on top of Aaron losing Seb and Liv well it almost killed Aaron.

Aaron knows he loves Robert. He's always known that. I don't think that's ever for one minute been in question since he fell for him, even back during all the insanity of their first affair. But more than anything I think Aaron is scared to hope again. To believe there's a chance he could actually be truly happy with his person and not just playing pretend with the guy he has lukewarm feelings for who wishes he was Robert.

I think Aaron only even went through with the wedding (after Rob showed up) because he knew getting married would be a barrier he could use to keep Rob at a distance. This is a big part of why I think he's clinging to John now and choosing to leave with him. He's doing exactly what Mackenzie said he's running because he doesn't want to face the truth of his feelings.

I've been frustrated with some of the stuff Aaron's said and done since Rob's come back especially when he's made everything Rob is going through (with his ptsd) worse at times by constantly siding with John. Still I think we should cut Aaron a little slack because he's been manipulated a ton by John and like I said Aaron is still holding onto a lot of pain from everything that happened when Rob went to jail. It makes sense that his feelings are going to be all over the place now that Robert is back.

But Aaron has never stopped loving Rob. We saw that with how Aaron reacted when he showed up at the wedding. We saw it again yesterday with how much Aaron just wanted to take care of Robert and how he told him he missed him, something he's probably been wanting to say since Rob showed back up. We also saw how Aaron really feels about John in both yesterday and today's ep. He sees John as the guy he married and who he has a commitment to but he's not talking about him as the man he's desperately in love with (cause there's only person Aaron will ever love like that). Then In today's ep when Mack was calling Aaron out about his feelings for Rob and about leaving, Aaron's response wasn't that he loves John so much and wants to make their relationship work it was that he owes John.

Like Rob we just have to be patient and wait though I don't expect it to be too much longer. Aaron's already come around a lot in these two eps from where he was earlier in the month. In fact I think it's possible that he might have a change of heart when he goes away. Even before the truth comes out about John. I thought it was interesting that they were showing us Aaron's phone in today's ep and I think we might get more of of that when Aaron's away with John. Maybe him and Rob talk and Aaron decides he's going to go back but then John finds out and snaps. It seems likely that Aaron will probably end up getting kidnapped. All the pieces feel like they're falling into place for a storyline like that. And as much as the angst will hurt (cause I anticipate Rob thinking Aaron has cut off contact with him at some point) it will be well worth it if we can get Rob rescuing Aaron and them back together at the end of all of this.
