In this particular story, the Rowdyruff Boys were still created by HIM but instead of being the devil, he’s an evil Eldritch abomination, a feared sorcerer of the sea. He created the boys to be his ultimate weapons to overthrow the kingdom ruled by this AU’s version of Professor Utonium.

But Brick realizes he doesn’t want to be a part of any of that. So, he runs away… and immediately gets captured by pirates.

Don’t worry, though he seems to hit it off with the captain’s second-in-command. Heheh…
