SYNOPSIS
Prelude in the American Gods series. Young. Wealthy. Elite. Attractive. The gentlemen’s secret society at Yale was filled with them. And Nathaniel Radcliffe, the bane of my existence, was one of them. As the right hand of the American Gods, he was conceited and arrogant. A dangerously handsome man in a tailored custom suit and shiny black oxford loafers. The classroom was our battlefield. We made a sport out of arguing and debating, ready to do anything in order to win over the other. Deadly opponents, deadlier minds. I'd sworn I'd never give him the upper hand, until... The secret I’ve been hiding for the last three years? He just discovered it… and now he has all the power.

REVIEW
“I am also aware of the tension between us,” he whispered, tilting his head to the side as he scanned my reddening features. “It’s destructive, to say the least. It affects my focus because you’re very, very distracting. And I don’t do distractions, sweetheart.”
Hi there! So I’m done with my 3rd book for the month of June and I’m enjoyed the last three books I have read so far. I still don’t know what to write, honestly but I’m going to talk about the prelude in the American Gods series by R. Scarlett. I have her other series for a while now but I’m not in the mood for Paranormal Romance just yet.
I heard about this book on Instagram and a lot of bookstagramers are talking about it that’s why I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did because this book is awesome!
It’s a sexy enemies to lovers romance and I enjoyed it from the 1st word up until the last and I’m still craving for more Nathaniel Radcliffe and Juliette Monroe! I finished this book in one sitting. It’s hot, sexy, addictive, intriguing and exciting. Did I mention that this book is under the forbidden romance tropes as well? Gaaaahhh! It’s already becoming my cup of tea. No regrets here! I’m enjoying these genre so much!
R. Scarlett’s writing style is exemplary as well. I enjoyed every single moment in this book. Her characters are amazing. Juliette and Nathaniel’s moments are so hot! (I need iced coffee!) The book was kind of fast-paced for me, I need more of them. The other characters are also intriguing.
And I probably read the epilogue 10 times last night. It’s just so cute! I want more from this author… and more of Juliette and Nathaniel.
I recommend this book to those who enjoys forbidden romance and enemies-to-lovers novels, hope you’d love it as much as I did.
❤, JL
