RSSRadio is vastly superior to Apple’s Podcast app - seriously how did I survive so long without it?
Actually plays episodes when I click on them unlike some apps that have been super glitchy recently >_>
Can categorize podcasts! That means I can separate my favourites from my concluded podcasts from all the lovely suggestions you guys have sent me.
Categories are also playlists (which, to be fair, Apple’s Podcasts has too but it’s handled much better on this app)
Super easy to designate a status (not listened/listened/archived) that doesn’t interfere with sorting (from what I’ve seen of Overcast, listened = archived/deleted).
Can download or stream episodes (unlike Overcast, which forces you to download when listening and is difficult to download in advance)
Shows how many episodes are downloaded OR not listened (you can set this) on the homepage (unlike Overcast) AND IS ACCURATE (unlike Podcasts)
Neat, easy-to-use interface with light and dark/night layout options (unlike Podcasts) that you don’t have to pay for (unlike Overcast)
Tons of sorting options for new episodes (how many to load, auto-download, when to archive, etc.) or you can adjust it so it’s completely manual.
All-in-all I love it and you should definitely download it. Just make sure you go through all the settings because it’s super customizable!
