Just when you thought the RT drama couldn't get more dramatic, Josh Grelle has chosen to voluntarily step down from their role as Tyrian. Not only that, but a former rigging artist shed some light on the chaos and misery that goes into this stuff, and that image of CRWBY being the shining rainbow in the storm might change after reading their story. I am just disgusted. Disgusted by both Rooster Teeth and the CRWBY for creating this ungodly work environment and dumping it all onto these poor souls. This shouldn't be acceptable, and I just hate myself for being a fan of RWBY now. My love for a show is tainted by callous bastards that just want to push people to the edge.
Behind the scenes of The Idiot’s Lantern (Part Five)
Excerpt from an interview with Jamie Foreman, who played Eddie Connolly, in the Daily Express Saturday Magazine:
Jamie, who was born in 1958, has vivid memories of the early years of Doctor who.
“I grew up with Doctor Who and Patrick Troughton, who was the second actor to play the role, was the Doctor around the time I watched it.”
There’s always a period of uncertainty when an actor takes over an established role, but Jamie is convinced that David Tennant, who first appeared as the Doctor on Christmas Day, is going to be a big success.
“I think he’s going to be one of the all-time great Doctors. He’s a very funny guy and he’s perfect for the young, modern audience. He’s got a fun, impish way of playing it that reminds me of Patrick Troughton.
“He and Billie Piper have a great relationship and that helps to make the show exciting. They are exciting, young, hip, and sexy and that connects with a young audience.
“Billie is a real sweetheart. She’s one of the best. She’s a hard worker, a good actor and, along with David, she brings a lovely atmosphere to the set. That comes across on the screen.
“I had so much fun filming my scenes and if programmes are fun to make - I’m sure you can see that on screen.”

Hi.
If you follow me for my Achievement Hunter art (which you probably do because I’ve been drawing fanart for them for like 6 years), I am sorry. I am going to focus on other things for a while. Does this mean that I will never draw anything AH ever again? No. I might return to it. I have no idea when.
I am not and I will not be a source of information for what went down at AH. Neither do I want to talk about it. Internet has already blown this up enough and taken it too far.
I just want to say that I am happy for the friends I have made thanks to the community. I hope we will continue being friends. And AH has been quite a big of a focus in my life for so long, so this hit me pretty hard.
A lot of racism in media is due to ignorance and unconscious biases not malicious intent. People unconsciously think black/brown women are strong and forceful. They unconsciously think white women are reserved and stoic. Winter was made to fit an "Ice Queen" aesthetic. But unconscious bias and past media means people hear those words and think white woman. They hear fast arrogant rabbit and think tracks star = black person. Harriet could have been Asian. Vine could have been a black woman.
Gonna put another ask I received here cause it’s also relevant:
It reminds me of how Donald Glover talked about how wanting to play Spiderman and some fans said "Spiderman can't be black". To which Donald said something like "Do you really think there isn't a black kid in New York who lives with their aunt and likes photography". Why are all the stoic calm emotionless characters Asian men? Why were the only violent angry Ace Ops the black/brown women. Clover was a "Captain America" type. Why did character designers hear that and automatically code him white.
As I’ve said before but I don’t think what MK and co did was out of malicious intent. These biases and stereotypes have so ingrained into our society than even if the opposite is staring white people right at their faces, they’ll still believe and spout all this and that about black people without a thought. Trust me, I’ve seen it and experienced it. This is why we have ignorant white people say “spiderman can’t be black.” even though there are hundreds of black boys who are like Peter Parker. Why the Captain America character has to look like a white dude. Its a cycle that needs to end.
The stereotype of ‘strong black woman’, the ‘scary dangerous black man’ has terrible, real world consequences. Do you how many black woman have died because their doctors’ dismissed their pain? Oh they’re black woman, they’re strong, they can handle it, it’s probably not that serious. And not forgetting the amount of unjustified murders of black people. This is why representation is important. Not just for the little black kids to see themselves in a better light but so that the negative sigma surrounding black people can end. Not just black people either, all poc too. The submissive, docile Asian stereotype also has terrible repercussions for the Asian community, particularly Asian women.
Why I go hard on Roosterteeth, and by extension why I fucking loathe the company, is that they love to parade around and gloat about how ‘woke’ they are. They’re super inclusion and they care about their fans pockets when the entire company is a breeding space of sexism, homophobia, racism and any other ism under the sun. Heck, they didn’t even try to pretend they cared about their racism until the George Floyd protests + Mika exposing their asses. I hate Disney but hell, I’d take their ‘doing-the-bare minimum’ representation then RT’s fake wokeness.
Racial biases is ingrained in our society, there’s no hiding from that. But true allyship in my eyes is confronting those racial biases and admitting to them. You gotta de-learn that stuff and that’s uncomfortable. It should be uncomfortable. Its not tweeting #blacklivesmatter and hiding all of your problematic content, pretending it never existed. Speaking on culling their problematic content, last I checked all the RWBY episodes and the anti-semantic + black stereotype episodes of Camp Camp are still up on the RT site. Are they not going to address the racism perturbated in RWBY? Cause I know Miles and Kerry know TWF arc was racist. Miles can’t put the blame on the terrible WF arc on being ‘white and 22’ when we have the Aceops boil down to racial stereotypes, which in my opinion is far worse. They clearly haven’t learned anything from TWF arc. That white fragility is too strong.
Until more information is posted about this, this will be my only statement on the matter.
I will not be reblogging anything about it, other than the one thing I already have, as I really am not sure about how I feel. We don’t know the context in the slightest, and some of the allegations are downright fake. We don’t know who the images were really sent to, or what happened. What we do know is nudes of Ryan’s were leaked, as well as some sexts between him and who appear to be fans, and that this originated on less than credible sites.
But, this is a matter of private affairs, and nothing illegal, just potentially immoral, is going on. It really isn’t any of our, as the fanbase, business, honestly. This shit shouldn’t have been leaked in the first place. And the fact that Ryan is getting legal help with this? Says a lot.
I will not stop reblogging things with Ryan in them, BUT I will try my hardest to tag him in stuff so if you want to/have his tags blocked, you won’t see it.
I guess here: yeah, nobody’s perfect, and i never said he was, but i guess i was really hoping he wouldn’t be the shitbag he turned out to be.
How do you do that, and call it just a mistake? It was a choice, a choice he made, that despite his family he would cheat. Knowing that it was wrong he did it anyway. Knowing he would hurt his wife, his children, and at least a little of the community? And he still made that choice.
My heart goes out to Laurie, I know what its like to be the one who is cheated on, and I wish her and the kids the absolute best whatever they decide. Its NOT her fault, and anyone harassing them is fucking garbage. He was the one who did something wrong, not them!
He is the one who must live with the consequences of his actions.
And on a more personal note:
I know I’m not directly effected, but honestly its hard to watch videos with him in it, and not go “was this when hes cheating? while they’re filming this?” And it makes me think of how i felt when i was cheated on, and it turns my stomach. I don't want to watch anything with him in it anymore because it makes me remember how awful it was.
