DOCTOR WHO 1.13 ➩ "The Parting of the Ways"
Behind the Scenes of The Next Doctor (Part 27)
Excerpt from the Radio Times:
David Tennant on David Morrisey "It's a real thrill to work with him again," says David Tennant of David Morrissey, with whom he previously starred in BBC1 drama Blackpool in 2004. Morrissey, Dervla Kirwan, and Velile Tshabalala, who plays Morrissey's companion, Rosita, came in for the special at the end of the grueling nine-month series-four shoot. "There was, I suppose, a danger we'd all be exhausted by the Christmas special," says Tennant. "But to have David, Dervla, and Velile come in with so much energy, always being funny and bright and up for anything, I think it spurred us on. We all got on very well."

Doctor Who The Sontaran Stratagem | 4.04
Behind the Scenes of The Giggle - Part Twenty Seven
Excerpt from TV Times' interview with David Tennant:
TV Times: How have you found returning to the character after your time away? David: There was obviously a bit of figuring out what this version of the Doctor was going to be. The Doctor can be anything, and each regeneration is a reset. I could have done a different voice or approached the character in a very different way, but the point of coming back was to sort of revisit something that has gone before. That's the story Russell is telling; the Doctor is returning to an earlier version of themself.
I was so lucky because I had the best mother in the entire universe - and that is a literal fact. [...] I may have been created by the Bane, but Mum... She gave me life.
