ATTACK #3
Featuring: Auden Greyson
Location: The Woods
Date: 11-8-15
The Hacker: After securing her tightly onto the tree, the hacker took a moment to appreciate his work. He grabbed a rock that was nearby. "Wakey, wakey," he said before throwing the rock at her head. "Time to get on up, Greyson." Auden: Auden woke suddenly as the rock collided with her head, pain jolting through her. Despite the pounding in her head, her eyes remained closed- the roofie she had been given still causing her head to spin. She attempted to bring her hands to her injury, but it was then that she realised her hands were bound; and then she heard the voice. Her heart pounded violently as her eyes shot open and when she saw him all she wanted was to close them again. "Help!" she shrieked at the trees, only now noticing that they were in the forest. She didn't call out again, instead she tugged and pulled at the rope with all her might. The Hacker: A chuckled escaped from him as she began to shout for help. He shook his head when she began to struggle. "There's no use," he stated with an amused tone. He walked over and sat right in front of her. She couldn't see it under his mask, but the grin he had on his face was from ear to ear. "Had a nice nap?" Auden: Her breathing grew louder as she struggled, she barely had the energy to keep her head up, but she was not going to die here. Not like this. The hacker approached her and she pulled her legs in close, attempting to push herself as far back into the tree as possible. It was all she could do to distance herself from him. "What-" Her voice cracked, fear cutting through it. "What did you- What did you do to me? I- I did what you asked, I-... Why are you-...?" The Hacker: Another chuckle, this one more devious than the last. "You did, and I'm proud," he said. "I thought you were going to put up a better fight, but looks like you were just as easy as the rest of 'em." He got up, brushing off the dirt as he do so. "Now Leah, I gotta admit, she was the easiest." He stepped closer to her, placing a hand against her cheek. "Little did I know she'd go after her best friend. You must've really pissed her off." Auden: She wanted to be brave; she always thought she would be the tough one in a situation like this, but she was scared. It wasn't until Leah was mentioned that she found her voice again. "What have you done to her?" Auden yelled up at him, shaking her head to get his hand off of her. "You bastard! If you've hurt her I-..." Her head spun again; an after effect of her shaking her head, or maybe of what she just heard. "What...?" The Hacker: This is what he was waiting for, the reality of the situation finally crushing her. He laughed maniacally. "Poor, poor, Auden." he teased as he rubbed his hands together. "This is gold. Pure gold. I can't believe I get to be the one to break the news to you. If only I had a camera here. Oh, wait---" he dug into his pocket before taking out his phone, the phone. He clicked on the camera and began to record. "Smile, sleeping beauty!" He let out another laugh as he moved to the side to capture another angle. "I said smile! Do it or I'll gut you right here, right now!" Auden: Initially she turned away from him, her mind trying to process what he had just said. Leah came after her? The last thing she could remember was her talk with her- all those horrible things she had said. And now she was tied up in the woods feeling nauseous as hell... She had spiked her drink. Air escaped Auden's lungs causing a choked gasp. She literally felt like she had been punched in the gut. Tears threatened at the corners of her eyes as she turned back to the camera. Auden forced a smile on to her lips, but not a single part of it seemed happy. She was too hurt, too angry. How could Leah do this to her? The Hacker: The hurt on her face was everything he wanted and more. She was devastated. Betrayed by her own best friend, it was a classic, but it still got 'em every time. "You call that a smile?" he yelled at her, obviously unimpressed. "You think that's going to win me an Oscar?" Auden: "What's the fucking point!?" She suddenly screamed up at him, the tears finally falling. "You're just going to kill me anyway, aren't you! I'm not giving you something you can torment my family with!" The Hacker: He groaned. "You ruined my movie!" He screamed back at her. After a moment, he decided enough was enough and stuffed his phone back into his pocket. "Kill you?" he laughed. "I should. Trust me, I'd love to. Hearing you scream, seeing you struggle to breathe. I get goosebumps just thinking about it." he shook his head. "But I won't. I mean why should I? You're dying already." Auden: Auden flinched when he yelled, recoiling back against the tree again. At least he had put the phone away. That wasn't enough to have her sighing in relief though, not after his next words. At first, she simply looked at him with disgust, but as he finished all the colour had drained from her face. "I-..." How could he know that? Only her doctor and her brother knew. "I'm not... dying." Her voice was far quieter now than it had been before. The Hacker: The smile on his face returned, he hit a nerve. "Is that right?" he began to circle her now. "Are you really trying to play games with me right now, Greyson?" his tone was assertive, angry even. Finally, he stopped and looked directly at her. "Don't fucking play with me. This is MY game! Now, are you going to tell me the truth or do I need to throw another rock to knock some sense into you?" Auden: So that's what had hit her before... Her head was still throbbing from it. Auden's jaw tightened as she lifted her eyes to look at him again, her teeth gritting together. "I'm not denying what I have..." Her voice was still quiet and steady. It was obvious she was trying to control it. "But it's not going to kill me." The Hacker: "It isn't, huh?" he crossed his arms. "What do you think happens to people that have cancer then?" He waited for approximately three seconds before letting out another laugh. "That's right! They die! Die, die, die! A slow and painful death. Can't you see it now? Your family gathering up around you while you lay there helpless in a hospital bed. Your mother crying because of you every single day. Your brother going off and getting into trouble cause he can't bare to watch you." Another snicker escaped him. "The best part? There's absolutely nothing you can do about it." Auden: Auden wasn't sure what terrified her more; his serious voice, or that laugh. "There are treatments. Not everyone with-... Not everyone dies." She still couldn't bring herself to say the word; she could barely even think it. "Stop it." Fresh tears filled her eyes as he described everything she hadn't let herself think about. The Hacker: "Stop it," he mimicked her. He watched as the tears began to stream down her face. Walking over to her, he took out his knife and placed it right next to her throat. "The things I'd do to you..." he said as he slowly dragged it downward. Once he had his fun, he slashed the rope that he had wrapped around her and pushed her onto the floor. "But watching you suffer is more fun."
