I have this little headcannon that even though she’s based off the King of Hearts, she always had this little fixation for The Humble Servant Princess (or Cinderella lol).
She always thought that if someone slipped on her shoe for her, that would be her soulmate! So, she always wore her shoes a size too big.☺️
