I finally finished my first ruana! It’s actually too big for me, which I realised too late, and so made it shorter--it’s very wide and not as long (see second pic). The third pic is the guide I used to make this--I ended up deviating from it a bit!
I finished the edges with a local alpaca yarn (light brown) held together with the Centolavaggi. Next ruana, I’d make this edging much wider on the “arms”.
Overall this stitch has a wonderful drape. I’m making a shawl with this stitch to use up the leftover Durasport and Centolavaggi.
Bathroom selfies from the day I finished crocheting. I’ll post more “showcase” photos once I’ve taken them--and tucked in the loose yarn ends!
