Moon 274-Leaf-bare

The Clan mourns Streamhiss’ loss, but, well, she was pretty stand-offish.  There are a couple cats who will miss her more than others, though.  Almondback (45) misses his sister and prays that she’s safe in StarClan with their mother.  Rubbleheart (70) misses his friend and the warmth that Streamhiss brought to his life.  In better news, Stonepaw (13) has been made a warrior with the name of Stonetuft in honor of his initiative.  Dawnfreckle (57) is feeling like Stonetuft is having a much easier time than he did, just because he’s star-blessed and Dawnfreckle’s dark-cursed.  Dawnfreckle complains that Stonetuft never does anything useful.  With Lakepelt sick, Hollypaw (13) is struggling to care for the whole Clan.  Downgaze (55) hopes he knows how grateful he is for his treatment.  He doesn’t know if he would have survived his injury without Hollypaw.  Downgaze also enjoys being able to leave camp again and goes on a nice moonlit stroll with Sweet Marmalade (59). Additionally, Treepelt (14) and Hatchswipe (19) have become mates!  They’re young, but they know what they want.  Brightmouse (49) hopes they have better luck than she and Shinebreak did.  Meanwhile, Brightmouse is developing a bit of a crush on Kestrelcreek (63). . .and Lakepelt (82) is developing a crush on her. Creekstar (128) is finally feeling back up to working after Vaxxstreak’s death.  Much to Primcrest’s (116) relief (she needs a break).  Bluestripe (49) is dissatisfied with how Creekstar has been leading the Clan lately.  And not only because she thinks that Creekstar should just declare her proven.  She feels like Creekstar should retire and let Primcrest take over.  Primcrest has been doing all the work in camp, after all. While Creekstar will always love Vaxxstreak, she’s decided to move on.  It helps that her son has healed from his mangled tail. Greenrapid’s (30) been struggling a bit lately with worries that things have been good in the Clan for too long.  She feels like disaster is just moments away.  Rubbleheart comforts the young warrior after she has a nightmare.  Tumbleswoop (63) and Hopedawn (63) both agree that they’re not fans of Whorlstorm (19).  Hopedawn hisses at her over something minor (once more proving to not be a good grandma) and Tumbleswoop doesn’t want to patrol with her.  For him, it’s a little hard seeing the same tail signals that Smokefoot used to communicate.  He misses his sister.

Creekstar (124) is still feeling a little bit testy.  She got in a fight with Cavecatcher (28) over a pretty feather and ended up incinerating it.  But Rubbleheart (66) still looks up to her.  He turns to her when he needs some help with practicing wind magic with another cat. Now that her grandkits aren’t apprentices, Hopedawn (59)  is getting along well with the remaining ones.  She heckles RaccoonClan at a gathering with Treepaw (10), and Stonepaw (9) thinks that’s she’s not so bad after all.  However, Downgaze (51) feels like Hollypaw (9) should be doing more to help his mother through her grief and gets in a heated argument with him, saying some hurtful things about how he’s not powerful enough, or how he would be more help if he were star-blessed like his brother.  Downgaze might not be dealing with Vaxxstreak’s death as well as he thought.  Hollypaw brings up the stuff that Downgaze mentioned to Stonepaw and the two work through it. Archdapple (45) also wonders how Hollypaw is doing.  She remembers how differently she was treated because she’s star-blessed and how her sisters dealt with it. She hopes that Hollypaw’s alright, even with Stonepaw getting a lot of attention. Stonepaw’s training continues and, while on patrol, Archdapple shows Stonepaw how to use a bright flash of light to scare prey into another cat’s paws. Whorlstorm (15) seems to be becoming friends with the fearsome foursome.  She hangs out with Brightmouse (45) and Bluestripe  (45) while Archdapple picks burrs out of Brightmouse’s fur.  When the topic of mates is brought up, Greenrapid (26) thinks instantly of Skipneedle.  Meanwhile, Skipneedle (45) feels only friendship towards her.

Moon 267-Greenleaf

Sweet Marmalade (52) has been out of the Healer’s den for a while now.  So it’s about time he got in a fight with a rogue. He just came out of it with a couple of scrapes.  Better than another broken bone!  In better news, Rubbleheart (62) and Tumbleswoop (56) have become mates!  Tumbleswoop never thought he would love again following Echomoor’s death, but Rubbleheart has worked his way into his heart.  Aww.  Whorlpaw (12) has also been made a warrior with the name of Whorlstorm in honor of her consideration.  Hopedawn (56) doesn’t seem to be a big fan of her grandkits (Rootwing’s-34-kits) and is being condescending towards Hyacinthpaw (12) all day.  Hyacinthpaw doesn’t care.  He’s just determined to master a hunting skill before dusk and become a warrior like his sister. Streamhiss (38)  overhears Hopedawn being condescending about the apprentice and is annoyed with her.  As a mediator, isn’t she supposed to be better than that? Streamhiss thinks that even she would be better at it and she has no patience.  Additionally, Sweet Marmalade’s kits have become apprentices.  Hollypaw (6) is apprenticed to Lakepelt (75), so Archdapple (42) can return to being a warrior.  She is mentoring Stonepaw (6), as she’s the cat best-suited to mentor a star-blessed cat.  Stonepaw is very excited to be an apprentice and hopes that he does something that really impresses the Clan on his first day.  Lakepelt likes to run a strict Healer’s den, but Hollypaw is messing with that.  He turns a very serious herb gathering session into a tickle fight.  Lakepelt is not amused.    Meanwhile, Brightmouse (42) thinks it’s hilarious how Spotfoot (48) manages to look so grumpy all the time and is laughing about it with her sisters  Also, Downgaze (48) and Sweet Marmalade have decided adopt each others kits (after talking with said kits, of course).  Whorlstorm is glad to have another dad (she has three now!) and wonders how Sweet Marmalade is doing.  He’s alright, despite being injured.

Moon 259-Leaf-fall

Since the young cats are having such bad luck with love in ElementClan, they’re looking over the border for connections.  Both Nettlestripe (28) and Blizzardback (22) were found loitering around the ChaffinchClan border recently, looking for a specific cat.  Creekstar (113) understands, but she doesn’t want to risk losing young warriors.  The Clan is in good shape, after such a long, hard time.  She makes sure that Blizzardback feels welcome in the Clan and says hello to them.  Hershey (25) thinks that the other young cats in the Clan are quite nice and wonders what Greenrapid (15) thinks about mates.  Meanwhile, Greenrapid thinks that Hershey is cute. Rubbleheart (55) thinks that Bluestripe (34) has been acting strangely.  She’s the only unproven dark-cursed cat in the Clan, and he doesn’t trust her.  There’s something suspicious about her. . .Kestrelcreek (48) agrees.  She got her a gift and she turned up her nose at it! Meanwhile, Bluestripe is just enjoying time spent with her sisters and sparring with Nettlestripe.  Brightmouse (34) is still elated to have Archdapple (34) back in camp and finds a bit of fluff that smells like her and adds it to her nest. Additionally,  Brightmouse has decided that it’s finally time to move on from Shinebreak.  She asks Vaxxstreak (145) for advice about finding new love.  Rootwing (26) sees Skipneedle (34) take the last piece of prey from the fresh-kill pile and tells his brother about it.  Lilacdrizzle (26) turns this into an ugly rumor about how greedy Skipneedle is.

Moon 247-Leaf-fall

Tumbleswoop’s (36) broken leg isn’t getting any better.  In fact, it’s festering.  Echomoor (28) takes a long walk, deep in thought about ways he could help his loved one.  Meanwhile, Streamhiss (18) comes out as a trans she-cat.  You go, girl!  Rootwing (14) goes on his first solo mediation mission to RaccoonClan to solve some border disputes.  But he only makes them worse.  Oof.  Creekstar is not very popular with the newer members of the Clan.  Orioleclover (13) feels like she never does anything helpful, Hopgrowl (270) thinks she isn’t very considerate of others, and Cavekit (5) sticks out his tongue at her.  Oof (x2).  Rubbleheart (43) overhears Creekstar complaining about him behind his back.  He doesn’t appreciate it.  His game of hide and seek was very important.  More important than hunting, even. Skipneedle is amazed at how long Hopgrowl has survived and feels a deep respect for the elder.  Sweet Marmalade (32) is happy to be healthy and makes sure to always check in on his Clanmates.  Shinebreak (22) and Brightmouse (22) are still enjoying the mated life.  Shinebreak purrs for a long time at one of Brightmouse’s lame jokes.  Blizzardpaw (10) is impatient to be a warrior and gets in a spat with Skipneedle (22) over a piece of fresh-kill.
