#CLT, meet #glulam! And glulam, meet concrete (but don't forget your moisture barrier)! The only timber products that will be exposed in this project are the glulam columns and beams, while the CLT walls and glulam balustrades will be covered. It was fun to talk #masstimber structure exposure vs not with the #rubnerholzbau site manager. . . . . #constructionnerdjokes (at Kaufbeuren)

Made the train! After arriving in #München, #Germany late last night I'm headed off this morning to the city of Kaufbeuren, where I have been invited to visit the construction site of a #RubnerHolzbau project. Rubner produces #glulam, #prefabricated roof panels and walls, #CLT panels, wood and glass facades, building envelopes, and "complete wood building solutions."
