Finding Love In A Curse - Day 2
Pairings: Ruby (Red) x Reader
Y/N had worked at the Diner Ruby worked at and the two were close. Y/N was not from the story world like all the others in storybrooke, she was from the real world. Although she could not leave now do too the curse around the small town she had no intention on ever leaving.
Y/N had gotten along well with the people of the town and everyone loved her especially a certain woman that most people called Red. The two had met when she walked into the diner and ordered food a day after she arrived.
Ruby had flirted with her the whole time she was at the diner. Y/N had just nodded along to whatever she was saying as her face was flushed. She thought Ruby was a beautiful and talented woman.
They also had a thing in common. Loving anything that was a wolf. Ruby had given Y/N her glass wolf that was hanging from her rearview mirror. Y/N didn't accept it at first but Ruby kept on insisting and well Y/N couldn't say no forever.
After that day they had gotten closer and closer until Ruby had asked Y/N to move into her apartment with her. Y/N had agreed and Ruby was beyond happy.
But things took a turn when Emma swan showed up. Things started changing in the small town. First it was little things like the clock on the clock tower randomly working again. Regina acting strange and trying to get Emma to leave. The people of the town slowly starting to remember stuff.
Ruby was having a nightmare one night and Y/N had woken up to a scream that turned into a howl. Y/N had bolted up from her bed and turned on her lamp on her nightstand. She had to make sure Ruby was okay. She had gotten out of bed and made her way out of her small bedroom.
She wasn't sure what was going on but she had to know if Ruby was okay or not.
As Y/N got to Ruby's bedroom she heard loud breathing coming from inside. Y/N grabbed the handle but stopped as she listened.
"Ruby are you okay in there" Y/N had said as she slowly turned the handle but didn't open the door yet. She waited for a response but after a while there was none.
Y/N had pushed the door open all the way and went to flip on the switch when something growled in the room. Y/N looked ahead and saw glowing gold eyes and a figure on the bed that was not human.
"Rub-" she was cut off when the wolf lunged forward causing her to stumble back and fall to the ground. Y/N looked behind the wolf but so no Ruby as she backed away from the wolf on the ground. Her back had hit the wall and she watched the wolf stalk closer to her.
Y/N's mind told her to run and not look back but her body did not want to move. The wolf stopped in front of Y/N and Y/N held her breath as she closed her eyes.
The wolf had sniffed the air before tilting it's head. It nudged Y/N's leg causing Y/N to open her eyes. The wolf was standing in front of her and Y/N frowned. The wolf was just staring at Y/N with it's head tilted. She reached out to touch the wolf as she sat there. The wolf leaned in before nudging her hand. The wolf pulled away after a few seconds before looking back over at the bed then back at Y/N.
"What is it" Y/N asked and the wolf huffed before grabbing Y/N's wrist with her mouth before tugging gently. Y/N frowned but stood up anyways and let the wolf lead her to the bed. The wolf jumped up onto the bed before tugging on Y/N's arm.
"You want me to get in the bed" Y/N said and the wolf tugged a bit more.
"Alright alright" Y/N said as she got into the bed. The wolf let go before sitting down as she watched Y/N get under the blankets. She never thought she'd get in bed with a wolf let alone in her roommates bed and her roommate gone. The wolf curled up next to Y/N and rested her head on Y/N's chest.
Y/N had fallen back asleep and had woken up a couple hours later to an arm wrapped around her.
"Don't" a voice mumbled out as Y/N tried to get up. It was Ruby's voice and she was cuddled up close behind Y/N.
"Ruby" Y/N mumbled out and Ruby's grip tightened as she let out a hum. Y/N turned in her arms so she was facing Ruby instead.
"I'm sorry if I scared you last night, it just started happening again" Ruby said as she opened her eyes to look at Y/N. Their faces were close to each others now and they just looked at each other.
"What do you mea-" Y/N was cut off when Ruby raised her hand to cup her face.
"I was the wolf.. it started happening again" Ruby said as she stroked Y/N's cheek. She hoped that she wasn't scaring her by telling her this.
"You were the wolf" Y/N mumbled out and Ruby nodded her head as her hand traveled down to the side of Y/N's neck. The two just looked at each other before Y/N's face started to heat up.
"I... Well I never thought the person I loved so much in this town could turn into a wolf" Y/N blurted out and Ruby laughed before her smile widened.
"You're cute, I'm glad we met Y/N.. You mean a lot to me" Ruby said as she stroked her hand through Y/N's hair. Y/N looked up at her and smiled softly before nodding her head.
"You mean a lot to me too Red" Y/N said and Ruby pulled her closer as the two fell back asleep in each other's arms.
