It's just a silly crossover and I refuse to spend more time in it so it's good enough.

There’s a “fairytale character types” trend going around on bsky right now (originally from drakthug on twitter) and since the Once Upon a Time hyperfix is back in full force after YEARS of dormancy I had to classify my S1 blorbos. Justifications + original template under readmore!
Trying to fix my same face syndrome so I'm whipping out my favorite girls. I love them both so much, I wish we'd gotten to see more of their dynamic. Especially Ruby, she was SUCH a good character and I feel like we see so little of her after the second half of season 2. Also WHY DID WE NEVER GET GRANNY BACKSTORY. SHE LITERALLY HAD THE MOST METAL BACKSTORY AND I WANTED TO SEE IT.
It's okay, it lets her maintain her effortless coolness. But also for a show that has a lot of themes regarding guilt and hurting the people you love, I would've loved to see them sort through Granny's backstory a little more, especially the way it impacts her relationship with Ruby. PLUS I feel like she fits in with a lot of other characters in the show as someone who's built up a lot of walls but DOES really care. JUST. I LOVE GRANNY LUCAS.
Drawing real people is so goddamn hard.
hear me out: lesbians ruby and belle
When Snow could tell that Ruby loved Dorothy it wasn't just love and open-mindedness that made her adapt so quickly to her best friend being into another woman it wasn't a surprise to her because of that time when they were still fleeing together that they kissed "just to see what it's like"
I gotta hand it to the Bridgerton (Netflix) writing team
Eloise feeling like the sibling with the most potential to come out as wlw (lots of us were feeling some Creloise vibes) & then surprising us with Frannie being the wlw of the family was great fun! Gives me the same vibes as when Once Upon a Time confirmed Mulan's bisexuality with her unrequited love for Aurora (& maybe Phillip too) & then seemed ready to pair her off with Merida. And then, instead, we got the reveal that Ruby (Little Red Riding Hood) is bi too! And she ended up with Dorothy Gale (Wizard of Oz). True love's kiss & all lol.
