Why did you choose to compete on Unpretty 3?:
As kind of the baby of L3THAL, people don’t always see me on the same level as the others. Jett and JJ and Hyosang and Prophet have all be in the game for forever. Lance just won a bunch of stuff for his solo work. Tommy is a writing guru. I feel like I kind of fall back into the shadows, and that people underestimate me a lot, or see me as primarily a vocalist, but I’m not. I’m a rapper, and I belong where I am, and it’s time for me to show these bitches that.
What do you feel are your strengths? Weaknesses?:
Weaknesses include temper, a little arrogance, the perception that I don’t take anything seriously, and a hatred for idol rappers that I’m still trying really hard to get over, but I’m not a cold hard bitch-- really. I’m nice deep down. I have a lot of strengths-- I literally built my group up from the bottom, corralled those dumb boys together, and threw myself at L3THAL until they picked us up. I’m relentless and resourceful and will do anything to win.
What are you hoping to accomplish while on the show?:
I want to win. I want to go on tour. I want to learn from the other producers, not just the same four old senior citizens I’m always chilling with in our studio. I don’t know-- I guess I want to be taken as seriously as the guys in my label are at the very least.
What do you think your biggest challenge will be?:
I feel like I can’t really win, no matter what I do. If I do well, people will try to attribute that to the fact that all my sunbaes are producers on the show. If I suck, everyone will say I don’t believe to be under my label. So I think my biggest challenge will be stepping away from that and just doing me-- not worrying about what everyone else is saying.
