How the Ruby Trio met one another.

(By the way I don't know how the gem code name works so we're just going to call them by nicknames.)

Ruby Squad AU

So nearly 2 weeks ago, I made a Forces AU that I enjoyed a lot and drew art for it. I’ve shared it on some discord servers I’m on, and now I’m sharing it here.

The general premise of this AU is that Infinite joins Eggman as usual, but he wants a new squad to replace his old one. So he kidnaps Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, Espio, and Vector and uses collars with a small part of the Phantom Ruby in them to brainwash the five into becoming his new squad. After a few months of training, the squad goes out on missions fighting the resistance. The squad is known as Ruby Squad.

The collars muddle their memories a bit. While they remember their names, abilities, and the fact they know each other, they don’t remember fighting Eggman, their capture or brainwashing, or the members of the resistance. (Consisting of Tails, Shadow, Rouge, Silver, and Charmy in this AU). Their personalities are also altered, while parts of their originals still remain, they’re a lot more villainous. In addition, it causes their eyes to turn a reddish-pink color.

Here are the 5 members of the squad.

Sonic: The Second in Command of the Squad. He’s a bit more serious minded then he was originally, but a bit cocky thanks to his speed. His attire consists of black gloves, a armored vest lightweight enough to not hamper his speed, and boots that are made for his speed.

Amy Rose: The Fighter of the squad. She’s a bit more sassy and snarky then before, but does care about the other members. She wears a black sleeveless shirt and pants, a grey belt, black gloves with gold rings, and grey combat boots. Her headband is also gone and her hair is now in a ponytail. Her hammer has also changed, now with a black handle, a red triangular center, and the mallet ends now grey.

Knuckles: The Muscle of the squad. He’s somewhat humorless, something the squad often makes fun of. He wears armor that protects his chest and legs, black gloves with metallic spikes, and boots with cleats on them.

Espio: The Infiltrator of the Squad. He’s as stoic as ever, but during missions, he’s dead silent. He even tells the other squad members not to communicate with him when he’s doing his job. He wears a full body suit that works with his camo abilities and a mask that covers his face.

Vector: The Tracker of the squad. He’s a bit bombastic, but takes his job seriously and works well with the squad. He wears a unzipped vest, black gloves, and steel tipped boots. His collar is custom made to fit him.
