Ruby hadn’t stopped smiling since she woke up and she didn’t have to think for too long about why. Ever since she’d met Oliver at his sister’s wedding the pair had stayed in contact and although their schedules hadn’t always worked, Ruby had finally shifted some things around to free up a weekend. And how well the weekend had started the night before. Always the early riser, she’d left Oliver in bed and padded out to the kitchen in her purple silk robe. Now the sound of sizzling food filled the kitchen as she poked at eggs in a pan with a wooden spatula.
Humming softly to herself, she only looked up at the sound of one of the floorboard creaking. Laying the spatula down, she also removed the eggs from the heat. “Good morning, handsome.” She greeted with a half smile. “Are you hungry? There’s only one right answer.” @soft-drabbles
