"Looks like all the kiddos are finally asleep," Wyatt sighed as he sat down and took a sip of his beer. Wyatt was always thankful and loved that his family was close. They always had each other's back and were there for each other. Sometimes he loved and dreaded sleep overs like this. His daughter always loves spending time with her cousins and he and his wife tried to make sure she spends a lot of time with them and family. His wife was out of town on business so it was just Wyatt.

He leaned back on his chair and looked at his older brother. "I don't know how you two can handle two kids. Y'all must be pros or something," he sighed chuckling softly.

Finding Oliver proved harder than Beau had anticipated. The man was the only reason he’d even considered going to the event in the first place and he’d be damned if he went the night without meeting him and providing him with the dance he’d requested from him. He hoped there would also be a chance to request a midnight kiss if he didn’t already have an offer. It wasn’t the kind of thing he usually had much of an urge to participate in, but he didn’t normally want to go to parties either. It seemed all it took to change his mind was a pretty face and good company. 

Making his way around the edges of the crowd, he finally spotted Oliver amongst the crowd. Pausing to adjust his jacket, he approached the man from behind, resting a hand on his shoulder. “Good evening, Oliver. If I didn’t know better, I’d accuse you of making an attempt to avoid me this evening. You’re quite hard to track down in this crowd.”

          “and i would be offended if i wasn’t the one you always go to!“ he joked, a soft laugh following his words as he was looking at her. oh, she was so gorgeous! it felt like his eyes were finally open and his life felt so full now that they had finally opened up about their true feelings. an yet... something wasn’t right here. “why are you so far from me, huh?” he asked, brows furrowed. they were sitting on the opposite sides of the couch and she was too far away. with a displeased grunt oliver suddenly took her legs by her ankles and pulled rowan much closer, a bit more and she’d be sitting in his lap. “now, that’s better,” he grinned and leaned in to give her a small kiss on the tip of her nose. || @reynlrunnr

Isaac wasn’t exactly paying attention when he rounded the corner, running straight into Oliver. “Hey,” he said out of instinct to stumbling back, it was replaced with, “Sorry, I didn’t see you.” Isaac finally looked up at the other, only to find his ex-friend. “Oh, uh, hey...” he trailed off, unsure what to say.
