He wanted to know what you did. His mom started tearing up when I said you were a painter, a writer, and a civil war historian. He has to use a wheelchair and when I told him you used one too, he got the biggest smile on his face. His mom later pulled me aside and thanked me for showing him that he can live a fulfilling life. (I'll be okay, I'm checking into the hospital for a couple weeks so they can monitor my condition) You made a little boy very happy today.
I hope it’s okay to post this in public because it made me cry and I want people to see that anyone can touch lives. I only knew about this because you told me. It makes me wonder how many of us make a difference for other people without ever knowing it. So thank you for this.
