Your 'civil war without Sharon carter' is AWESOME. I hate fandom misogyny and that was a great response thereto.
thanks so much!
That was a very brave and wise essay you wrote that started with "let people grow". thank you for putting that out there.
Really I’m just humbled that it’s gone around as much as it has. Modern social media, Tumblr especially, does a really bad job of keeping people accountable without setting impossible standards. The more people push back on that the better. There’s a balance to be struck.
I knew you could do it! If we told you to make a sandwich first you would've eaten the brownie batter raw. :) Also, someone out there writes about Steve and his dog Violet? Or am I reccing your own stories to you?
Hahahaha!
(I ate raw cookie dough a couple of days before, so you’re not wrong)
And yes! @unclesteeb writes about Steve and Violet, and it’s WONDERFUL
Have you ever heard of epistolary fic? That's fiction, including fanfic, written in the style of letters or journal entries, and thus in first person. Are you certain such stories can never be worth reading or writing, ever, by anyone? Imagine how awesome the True Secret Diary of Brendon Urie might be in the right writer's hands!
i dont care
Sam/Bucky
(PS I only dislike MCU Stony :D There’s an actual basis for it in 616!)
vomit / don’t ship / ok / cute / adorable / sexy / perfect / beyond flawless / hot damn / screaming and crying /i will ship them in hell
I love bickery ship dynamics where they use snark and arguments to disguise how much they actually do care about each other (I think Baze/Chirrut also falls into this category), so this is right up my alley.
(I am also here for Steve seeing his two best friends get together and pine quietly after them both until they realize he’s been doing it and invite him in on the fun.)
Everything special about Steve Rogers came out of a bottle, right?
is this…in relation to that godforsaken steroids post…
no he was Always special he was always very kind and brave and Good and the serum just enhanced that (as well as the stubbornness and,,,what could be perceived as arrogance and the dark side-effects that come with all of that goodness). as a person, everything special about him was already there!!! but the superstrength and Sudden Muscles definitely came out of a bottle
I love steve a lot and i hate this line. but i also hate steve telling tony that he’s selfish and worthless and Playing At Being A Hero after knowing him for less than a day so!! both not great moments for these boys
If AOU didn't exist and hadn't fucked it all up to hell, would you ship Nat and Bruce?
Nope. I disliked the ship before the movie. The movie just sharpened my dislike.
I have a very hard time with Bruce as a character, especially in a romantic light. I grew up with a person in my house who had an unpredictable temper, and while I’ve tried to understand him as a character who represents something in me (he’s a poster child for DID and I won’t hear otherwise) I can’t ship him with someone who would be as frightened of his rage as Natasha was in the Avengers.
