You packed your bags last night, sort of just grabbing everything that you could possibly need. Your parents have one of those multiple room tents that you're going to use, a room for you and Karkat, a room for them, one for Jade if she comes, and one for all of the stuff that won't fit in the personal rooms.
Now, while you wait for Karkat, Casey gets put in her nicely sized cat carrier, and you smile when she just curls up and goes to sleep on the towel you put in there. You double check to make sure you have everything, too nervous to eat breakfast.
