Backstory-
Her mom was investigating the reason behind the weird stuff that are happening around the town, nobody believed her not even her husband (Josie's dad). Josie's was raised on whispered stories, superstition, and soft violence. she's always overheard her mom and dad fighting over stuff that she didn't understand, all she knew was that her father didn't want her mother to continue doing what she was doing.
Eventually, her mother vanished when she was 12, her father was devastated but never really looked for her. At 18, Josie found her mom's journal with all her findings, the town felt like she was calling her, she was determined to find out what really happened to her mother and what her family has been hiding from her.
