The child stares at Stan for a moment before slowly moving closer and opening her mouth, leaning in in an attempt to bite him. Missing front tooth and all.

Emily was under the impression that he bit people he liked, at least when not attacking them. So she was trying to show she cared with her limited knowledge.

It was the holiday season after all, so she was trying to show everyone she cared in some way.
