          sharpness.  the flow of warm crimson running across the back of her hand and seeping between fingers is the only thing she can really feel on that side of her body besides the dull ache.  jessica can’t remember for the life of her , or anyone else that might be in trouble at the time , if she is in any real danger with where the point of access was made by that slick silver blade.

          tears have welled up in her focus , her brain getting the memo to cry before her heart can fully understand.  jessica can’t hear her friends voices anymore , not over the sound screeching through her head , and all she can do is crumple to the ground with her hand still struggling to grasp the wound between her ribs.  one deep breath and a forced , “ HELP ! ”
