I just recently rediscovered an old bottle of Runway 21 by Rue21, which has since been discontinued. Apparently it’s labeled rare and vintage now, despite only coming out in 2011

I've got a special holiday-themed merchandise roundup today, because it's not just Christmas Eve--it's also my birthday! ❄️ For my whole life, people have been saying they feel sorry for me, but I always thought that having a birthday on a holiday made it even more special. I never had to go to school on my birthday, either.

In the spirit of the holidays, I thought I'd check out the local thrift stores and see if they had any last-minute Christmas merchandise drops. Five Below and Marshall's didn't have anything, but a local thrift store had a few new items, including this gift set:

A Rick and Morty door hanger...that's a new one. The same store also had a pair of festive sweatpants.

And you can wear your new sweatpants with this Rick and Morty beanie! Rick looks happy, Morty looks horrified: pretty standard.

I also wanted to share a couple of T-shirts from my favorite store: Rue 21. I don't know how much longer this particular mall is going to be around, but I'm glad Rue 21 reopened after they filed for bankruptcy and closed their doors for a minute. If this mall goes under, the closest Rue 21 is one state over, so let's hope it still has some life left.

Anyway, if you want to get me a birthday gift, I suggest checking out your local mall. Even if you don't buy anything, the increased foot traffic shows the owners that people are interested in that location. I'd hate to watch all the malls disappear in my lifetime. Yeah, they're a shrine to consumerism, but they're also one of the few places where you can walk around, stretch your legs, check out different stores, try new cuisines, talk to people and actually make memories instead of scrolling through Amazon.

And better yet--you could probably make your own merchandise roundup. ✨
