🎉🎉Happy One Year Anniversary!!🎉🎉

February 25, one year ago, was when I posted my first BG3 render. It was of my lovely OTP and their badges. I jumped into Blender in wanting to try a new hobby, way before Patch 8’s photo mode came to the game. I was hesitant to post it at first, I didn’t think I’d make it far if things become difficult.

But I learned to trust the process, and to not be harsh with my abilities when I wanted the best results. I wanted to make BG3 renders for fun, even if it took a lot of time and patience to make it ‘perfect’.

I forgot to post these other renders, they’re on my Blue Sky, but I’ll include them here as part of my celebration! Happy Late Valentine’s to btw! 💛💙

Despite continuing to make numerous renders of Rugan and Geraldus together, I’ve had curious viewers anticipate their story! It’s such a unique rarepair, I’m not surprised that I’m the ship’s only captain steering through the tides of fandom.

I actually have a fanfic about them on AO3 (under the same username). There’s only the first chapter, but currently rewriting it because I’m a bit more harsh on myself with that medium. Despite that, allow me to give you two hints of their relationship!

A Harper and a Zhent are bound to be enemies due to their contrasting alliances. But this isn’t enemies-to-lovers, their secret fling brings issue with their (former) organizations, which risks more than just their bond, it’s also their lives.

Their dynamic was inspired by Bill and Frank from “The Last of Us” Episode 3. Because of the emotional drive with their relationship, I wanted to apply it to Rugan and Geraldus. I find it more appealing to ‘round their edges’ so that it’s not just a story about a “cocky smuggler” and a “naive recruit”. They’ve witnessed a lot of bad things, come to terms with each other’s dilemma, and rely on each other to continue to survive.

For those who have tagged along in my 3D Rendering (and RuGera) journey, I sincerely thank you for your support! I’ll make a progress check in August again, and I really look forward to bringing more ideas to life as I trickle more content with my OTP and my Tavs!

A Badge Holder’s Promotion

Six months ago, I began using Blender when Patch 8’s Photo Mode wasn’t available at the time. I’m the type to be rather picky with my compositions, a little perfectionist for getting the right shots. So when I saw other creators using Blender to render their characters in ways the game couldn’t, I thought “hey, why not?”

I primarily used Blender solely for BG3 works, but I never expected myself to really have fun with it! Every rendering session has gotten me to learn something new, implementing each method onto my renders as it slowly evolved into what I can be satisfied with!

Here’s what I began with, initially posted as “Special Badge Holders” on my page!

Even as I continue to learn, who would’ve thought my creative endeavors would bring me to make special renders like these! 🥰🥰🥰

After the first couple of rounds on EEVEE, I decided to best my PC’s capacity by bumping a level on Cycles! The rendering process is slower, but gives some nice detailing and wonderful results (especially with lighting)!
