Depressed gut wrenching little Rui short comic.
There. Depression. On YAOI day.
I’m still wondering what the hell middle school Rui meant by. “Oh….right. I could just do that….”.
…Uh hello? Number 1.
Why the fuck does his voice change like that. That scared the shit outta me.
Like, yeah, I’ve heard Tokishun sound like that before, for example, Kazutora. But never in Rui’s voice.
The way his voice sounded so…..off is the bit that’s making me uneasy.
Number 2. What does he mean by that?
Like, I’m just gonna isolate myself that or…….the other that.
It’s been implied countless of times so I wouldn’t be surprised….but damn. Tokishun really gave me the heebie-jeebies from his voice.
Wait, oh my god, I actually just realised something dude.
Why the fuck is no one talking about the fact that Rui’s parents didn’t seem to be helping Rui as much as parents probably should if their child is in THAT state.
Blame it on work, blame it on anything, but that’s actually weird to me. Wanted to say again, I like what we know of Rui’s parents so don’t take this the wrong way. But uhm…if your child has messy knotted hair, underweight, low hygienic, low in life and is basically ‘gone’. Wouldn’t you check in on them?
Usually with Pjsk parents, we atleast get some scenes of them going “ hey character..how are you? “ or you know, making an appearance.
Where the actual hell are Rui’s parents in middle school. I’m sorry, but as someone who quite literally went through the same stage as Rui whilst my mother and brother were in a whole other city. Why wouldn’t Rui’s parents atleast make one appearance in his middle school days?
There has to be more with Rui’s relationship with his parents especially because of how little we get of them compared to every other character. Heck, even Toya’s parents check in on him sometimes.
Whatever SEGA is planning for the future is scaring me.
Unless, you know. Rui’s parents are supposed to be people who aren’t around and are ‘too busy’. ( Sorry if I worded this wrongly again, I’m quite hungry..I should eat my strawberries 🥹 )
Edit 29th of July:
Adding more to this after wl3p4. Rui’s parents are barely mentioned in the game. We’ve only seen them twice in the stories. I am getting the idea that Rui’s parents are the reasons Rui fears being abandoned more than his classmates.
As a fellow autistic person, that stuff usually occurs not just with random kids, but also family.
Opinion part two.
Oh noooo not more of this Ruida whattttt…
I don’t see why people think someone being submissive makes them weak or little. Like, yes, Honami, Toya and Rui all fit the definition of submissive characters.
No, they are not weak or frail. That’s not what submissive actually is.
Submissive means being willing to obey, yield to, or accept the control of another person.
It is when you do what you are asked to without arguments.
I’m a Honami fan for everyone’s information so this isn’t exactly bias ( even if it was I wouldn’t spread that kind of misinformation ). There’s literally nothing wrong with being submissive yet because of the stereotypical version of submissive people it has become something closer to babying.
No, being submissive doesn’t mean you’re weak, a crybaby or someone that can’t do as they please when they want to. Submissive literally just means you don’t take the reins often and you just stand by/beside without much fuss. I literally don’t understand why people gotta deny this shit so often.
I’ll tell you the reasons why those characters can fit into submissive categories in their own ways, reminder. No, submissive isn’t an all the time thing and you’ll see that when I explain.
Honami: One of Honami's defining struggles is her fear of upsetting others. During middle school, she distanced herself from her childhood friends because she wanted to avoid conflict and criticism. She’s constantly helping classmates, listening to people's problems, and making sure everyone else is comfortable before considering her own feelings.
Now yes, in the stories she becomes much more assertive and expressing her thoughts and emotions. As Leo/Needs leader she would have to be much more of a responsible older sister like to everyone…despite her being one of the youngests.
Toya: Now, thinking back, Toya isn’t exactly submissive, but I will put some things here that can fall into this category. For much of his childhood, Toya was raised under his father's strict expectations. He obeyed without complaint, despite disliking the lifestyle. Even after joining Vivid BAD SQUAD, he tends to go along with others' suggestions unless he has a genuine reason to object.
Obviously, Toya was young and most children are submissive to their parents but Toya does still do as he is told by others and wants to do the best for his friends.
Toya’s also surprisingly gullible as we…can kinda see also in the stories.
Again, not exactly submissive but I thought I’d put him here anyways.
Rui: Another example of not exactly submissive but he fits into the role. Rui is the director of Wonderlands × Showtime, but he rarely tries to be the center of attention himself. Instead, he designs shows that highlight everyone else's talents, especially Tsukasa's dream of becoming a star. He often works behind the scenes because seeing others succeed genuinely makes him happy.
When disagreements arise, Rui usually doesn't argue for the sake of winning. He prefers to explain his reasoning calmly or simply adjust his plans if it benefits the performance. He's confident, but not controlling…Rui does tweak his words a lot however in fear of abandonment, and that has became something much more noticeable as the stories have progressed.
Although Rui often creates the performances, he doesn't mind letting others lead in areas where they're stronger. For example:
Tsukasa often takes charge of motivating the group or acting as the "face" of a performance.
Emu's enthusiasm frequently changes the group's direction, and Rui usually rolls with it rather than shutting her ideas down.
He respects Nene's opinions on acting and singing instead of dismissing them.
I would say Rui is more adaptable than inherently yielding but he certainly is a definition of someone more on the submissive side.
That being said, there’s nothing wrong with a character being submissive whether it’s stereotypical or more accurate to its proper wording neither of that matters. I personally don’t like seeing people mischaracterise the characters to fit their own liking as in my own personal opinion it takes away their charms and what makes them human. Fictional or not, it still can work like reality.
I don’t care if you change their personalities, but I do care if you deny their canonical personalities.
Again, no. No characters in Project Sekai are inherently overly submissive or frail, but yes. They can have personalities and actions that fit into that category. Stop pretending that isn’t true.
Anyways, that’s just my own opinion, feel free to disagree as usual.
Buh bye.
Opinion.
Oh noooooo, Ruida giving opinions??? Controversial, banned oh jeez…
Anyways, this is a personal opinion, but hating on Project Sekai because of its artists, story writers or animators is disrespectful and a little rude.
Again, my own opinion. I guess it’s fine for the story writers ( not that I really like it..). But complaining about the artists and animators is just rude because it’s not THEM that’s the problem it’s whoever is overworking them.
Pjsk artists work every week to make those card arts for everyone via a detailed description or a talk. They’re honestly probably tired and have a lot of art block same with the animators.
Now yes, that is their jobs. But that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about the people complaining about the artists lazy.
Hi. I can promise you that there is nothing wrong with that especially if you have to draw EVERY SINGLE WEEK.
They have several different artists all who are probably tired and restless. The animators take days, weeks and sometimes months to make those animations for the game and its songs. I ask that instead of complaining about the artists and animators, we complain about the company. Because that, would be a more reasonable response.
Being lazy when you have to work for a company with billions of pounds whilst working every day is completely reasonable and I don’t see why people think it isn’t.
The story writers too. They have to get so many ideas and plan that shit for lord knows how long making events that fit characters plots and that are entertaining for readers. Now, I completely understand not liking an event story.
Truth be told. I didn’t actually like Tsukasa’s 7th focus all that much.
But I’m not going to go around verbally insulting the writers just because of that. Because it’s my own opinion that should stay as MY opinion not to be forced around and make everyone agree.
…Watch someone complain that I said I didn’t like Kasa7. Sorry guys I just genuinely disliked that event.
Again, that’s just my personal opinion. But I just wanted to mention it just so people could understand a little.
I get why the artists have to work everyday. Not just because it’s their jobs but also because it keeps the fans happy. But I personally wouldn’t mind at all if SEGA just took a couple months off, to clear everyone’s heads a little and get well needed rest.
Uh, that’s all. Bye. Complain all you want I don’t really give a shit.
Mother.
I require you to revamp the Opera Opera Space Opera Rui untrained and make him look more colourful along with your own design.
There you go my newborn.
Before and after, the slight differences make the best. Let me know what you all think my children.
I'm genuinely praying for you mootie. I hope things get better and the doctors can do whatever they can to get you back to a healthy state, I can't imagine how terrifying that is :(
Woah mootie you’re fast! Thank you, it really means a lot that you’re not only saying this, but just because you’re here.
Love ya Pikmin.
Why are you legitimately carrying the Pjsk opinions and posts right now.
Because I’m just so goated. I carry good opinions that I’m not afraid to share. Because…because I because.
But mwah? Carrying the Pjsk posts? MWAH? Whatttttt…pshhhh….nooooooooo……..
do you actually think that
Ehe…thanks……..
