Shuuhei closed his eyes and rubbed at his temples, annoyed with all of the paperwork he was doing. He sat like that for a little bit, debating on whether or not he should take a nap or continue working. The brunette sighed and chose the latter, reopening his eyes- only it was dark. The world around him was completely blank, Shuuhei feeling panic rise in his chest. Did something happen to Seireitei, or was it just him? With a tentative hand, he reached forwards, accidentally knocking over something in the process. His world had vanished from his sights, and he felt increasingly vulnerable without his vision.

Shuuhei's hands tightened against the edge of his desk, the man taking deep breaths in an attempt to calm down. He drew everything in, keeping his senses narrowed to the area around him in an attempt to get his vision back. After a moment, when it didn't work, he tried to remember the place that he had worked for years on end, but footsteps jolted him from his thoughts. A slight fear went through him, as he couldn't see who- or what- they were coming from.
