Hi I have a question! For this: January 18- 24 Sharing Theon Ship Fic Recs on tumblr (All ships welcome.) does it mean only ship fics in a canon setting? like, the next week it says au or crossover, so is canon divergence and modern universe only aloud in the last week? Thank you!

For the January 18-24 Theon Ship Fic Recs, Fics should be in a canon setting but canon divergent and canon AU can definitely be shared as well! And Theon/OCs can be shared this week as long as they are in the canon setting or canon divergent or canon au. Basically, if it happens in Westeros in the canon times it should be shared this week. And AUs where Theon lives, where Robb lives, etc should be shared here as well.
However, I think when it comes to AUs where things are drastically changed, such as Theon growing up in the Iron Islands because Balon won the rebellion or Theon being a hostage somewhere else- such as Dorne for example- those fics can be shared the next week during AU and Crossover Week. But, you can definitely use your own judgement with these! Like, if you feel that the shipping element of the work is more important than the AU element, then share it in in the Ship week portion. However, if the AU element is really fleshed out and fully developed with world building etc, you might want to wait to share it in the AU/Crossover week. So use your own judgement- I won’t be too strict!
Modern AUs and Modern Westeros AUs I think, should go into the AU week. Reincarnation AUs can also go into the AUs and Crossover week.
