(1) When does it start?

Neji week starts on June 28 and ends July 4.

(2) What are the prompts?

Day 1 - Tradition | Memory

Day 5 - Meditation | Solitude

Day 6 - Rebirth | Any AU

Day 7 - Eclipse | Free Day

There is a lunar eclipse on July 4th this year so we thought it would be fun to incorporate. The “free day” prompt means write whatever you want!

(4) I can’t find any of my favorite prompts in here. Can I still make my own?

Of course! The prompts are there as guides, but as much as possible, we do not want to limit your artistic ideas! Go forth and spread the Neji love in the tags in the way that you find most comfortable.

Rules to follow

1. We welcome content of any kind - fics, podfics, gifsets, etc. The point is to celebrate the week leading up to Neji’s birthday!

2. Gen and ships are all welcomed! You may use whichever ships you like, so long as Neji is the main focus. It’s his birthday, after all!

3. Please tag your work with #nejiweek2020

4. Please tag any NSFW content or potentially triggering content so people can filter. We want this event to be safe and inclusive for everyone.

5. Writers: When posting a fic on tumblr, please insert a READ MORE line break so the feed doesn’t get flooded with long posts.

6. If you are not happy with the prompts but still want to participate, please do! Any Neji content is good content!

Thank you for your interest in creating a treat based on one of the prompts listed below! All prompts are ones submitted by our participants during their initial sign-up, but not all of these prompts will be turned into something tangible, as their gifter is only required to choose one of the 2-5 prompts they listed. Here is where treats come in! Treats are essentially extra gifts not given to a prompter by their assigned gifter, but just someone who liked their idea enough to make something from it.

What if I’m not in the exchange but I got an idea for a treat? You DO NOT have to be a participant in the exchange to make a treat for someone. This is a public list and anyone is allowed to draw inspiration from the ideas listed below. We ask that treats not be posted/given until the allotted posting period of September 13 - September 19th.

So many prompts! This list is organized by gen, ships, and miscellaneous. Prompts not specified in rating can be completed as either, unless specified by an M for MINOR or NC for PROMPTER NOT COMFORTABLE WITH RECEIVING NSFW CONTENT.

If a prompt is listed as “NSFW” you don’t have to make it NSFW. This just means that the prompter is OK with receiving NSFW for this specific prompt, but they are aware that this does not guarantee them NSFW for this certain prompt.

What if I just want to make something for myself based on the ideas down below? If you do choose to create a treat based on a prompt, the treat should be made with the intent of being given as such. I can’t control how inspiration comes to you, a creator, but I know each and every person wrote these prompts with the hopes of one coming to life, which is why I ask that treats be treated as bonus gifts. Thank you for understanding. Maybe after the event, with prompter permission, these prompts can be left up as Monstertron’s mark on the monstrous side of Voltron’s fandom, haha.

But Han, how will I know who to give my treat to? Email me/send me an ask about which prompt you’re doing/have completed, and I’ll tell you your giftee’s information! I am not attaching names to this list for privacy reasons, as not everyone needs to know each other’s vampire kinks! You make, you know, that’s the rule.

It’s Gonna Be M(onstertron)ay

Greetings, ghosts and ghouls! Mod Han here. I have a very exciting announcement I want to share with you all, but first, I’m sorry for not updating sooner. I wanted to prepare everything I could before I gave an update (blog, documents, forms, brand new Discord server, graphics, etc.). Thank you all for being patient with me as I balance life and passions! I learned a lot from last year’s exchange and preparation is key!

And with that, I’m proud to announce I am moderating ROUND 2 OF THE MONSTERTRON GIFT EXCHANGE! 

I will follow this post up with an FAQ & Rules page that has been updated with proper links, a new schedule (everything is one month later than last year, so sign-ups start in June rather than May, etc.), and more. I got some amazing feedback from past participants, and this year will hopefully go much smoother as I have had time to learn and grow!

Rules & FAQ

Rules

1. This exchange is a multiship event. Please do not express any hate towards your fellow participants or members of the Discord server.

2. All prompts and offers must revolve around the theme of monsters including but not limited to one or more main characters depicted as monsters (e.g., siren Lance, yuki-onna Allura), situations revolving around monsters (e.g., zombie apocalypse, vampire hunters), or other supernatural elements that make up the foundation of your story. Aliens do not count. If you have any questions about what qualifies as “monster-themed”, please do not hesitate to contact the blog or a moderator. Mod can be found on tumblr here: Mod Han.

3. Do not share the specifics of your gift with your recipient as this will spoil the whole point of the exchange! If you have questions for your recipient, contact a mod and they will act as a proxy to get you the information you need.

4. If you are a minor (17-) please do not request/create NSFW works. If you are not a minor (18+), AT LEAST ONE OF YOUR MINIMUM 2 PROMPTS MUST BE SFW IN THE CASE THAT A MINOR/SOMEONE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH NSFW IS ASSIGNED TO YOU.

FAQ

What is the Monstertron Gift Exchange? This is a fandom event where you will submit 2 to 5 monster-themed request prompts, and someone will be matched to you to make one or more of your requests as they see fit.

What is a request prompt? A prompt can be as vague as “Keith/Lance, zombie apocalypse, minimal blood, SFW or NSFW” thus leaving it open to your gifter’s interpretation, or as specific as “NSFW, Keith/Shiro, Keith is a dragon that Shiro finds wounded in the woods behind his house and nursed back to health. Anything to do with Keith as a dragon will do, but I enjoy some tender loving dragon care!”

What is the schedule? Sign ups open - June 1st at 12:00 AM EDT Sign ups close - June 30th at 12:00 AM EDT Assignments sent out - July 14th Check in #1 - July 31st - August 5th Check in #2 - August 28th - September 1st Gifts due - September 13th - September 19th

What are the minimum requirements for my work? The minimum requirements are as follows: Artists - Must be at least a colored sketch on a 600 x 400 pixel size canvas. Writers - Must be at least 1,500 words in length, betas are strongly suggested.

You are welcome (and encouraged) to go beyond the minimum requirements for your preferred medium, but we want you to be as stress-free as possible when completing your piece, so if you feel that you cannot meet these requirements we strongly suggest either speaking to a mod or reconsidering the event as a whole. We want all participants to give what they get because this is a gift exchange.

What are expected from Check-Ins 1 and 2? Check-ins are just a way for us to make sure you haven’t forgotten your assignment, and that you’re at least a little on task! Check-in 1 will just be letting us know you’ve got at least some kind of idea of what you’re going to do. Check in 2 will be us making sure you’ve started and are ideally almost done with your gift. All check-ins will be completed via a Google Form that we will email out to participants.

Everyone works at different speeds, so don’t sweat too much about the check ins, there’s no pressure to be done immediately!

Where do I sign up? You can sign up here starting June 1st at 12:00 AM CDT and ending at the same time June 30th.

Can I edit my sign-up? Yes, but only until sign-ups close!

Where should I post my gift? Please post your gift to Tumblr and either tag us @monstertronexchange or use the hashtag #monstertronexchange so we can reblog it here! Writers are welcome to post their fics to our collection on AO3, but please post a link tagging us on Tumblr!

Am I allowed to write a “Dear Gifter” letter? Yes, please! You can link it to your request once you fill out the sign-up form. These are usually posted on your preferred social media platform and are used to give your gifter more information about your likes/dislikes, dos and don’ts, and any other information you want them to know.

Can I specify what medium I want certain requests to be fulfilled in? Yes, but try not to do this for all your requests in case you are paired with an artist and all of your prompts are for fanfiction, for example.

What about treats? A treat is a work by anyone whether they are a participant in the exchange or not. You can make these at any time based on the available prompts and there is no work minimum, we’ll post a link to a Google Doc filled with the requests we received in the form along with the announcement that assignments have been sent out. Participants should only submit treats after their original request has been fulfilled.

- even though my muse is of age, I am not. If you try to begin a nsfw roleplay with me or try to include sexual content into an ongoing roleplay I will ask you nicely to stop, if you still try to force sexual/nsfw content on me I will no longer interact with you.

- I dont count kissing as mature content as long as it doesnt get too heated? the moment it begins to get too heated for my liking I will private message you and we can have a conversation about where the roleplay is going and either a) tone it down or b) skip the heated parts.

- I still follow and engage with blogs that have nsfw content/rps but I won't engage in the said nsfw content/rps.

- I usually ask if you want to keep the rp in messages or create a thread, its completely up to what youre confortable with!

- I cut my threads! I think its easier to handle and creates less clutter. But, just because I do, doesnt mean you need to too.

- Everything on this list comes with a warning. If you do any of these things to or around me, I will send you a pm asking you to stop. If you don't stop, I will discontinue any ongoing rps i have with you and I will stop interacting with your blog.

FAQ

Is this roleplay based on movie universe or comic universe?

Right now I would say movie universe, however you are allowed to bring in comic characters and or elements that you would like for your characters. We do this because most people have seen the movies and some haven't read the comics.

Are we allowed to submit OC's?

Yes you are allowed to.

Can we submit x-men characters?

Yes if you would like to then by all means please do. However we don't accept First Class since the movie is a prequel and this roleplay is based in the future so most of those characters would probably be really old.

Can we submit OC's for the Avengers Children?

No if we are talking someone submitting a character for Steve's long lost child then no you cant. I will be putting up all the avengers children and I wont be accepting oc's for them. Loki however may be the acceptation to the rule, but please message me about that before submitting something. Why am I placing the rule in? Because the realistic view of Steve having 5 children or even children who he has never seen until now is completely unrealistic and it becomes complicated. However if you want to submit a child for an avenger that hasn't been seen for example Ant Man you may do so.

Are we allowed to have more then one character?

You are allowed a maximum of five characters each and you must be active on them, otherwise we will take one or two away from you and reopen them.

Did The Avengers Kids grow up together?

I expect that they did. Steve, Bucky/Nat, Clint, Tony and Bruce's kids most definitely did, so if there children are any of these they should know each other. Thor and Loki's kids will clearly know each other but my guess is they wont know the other children due to being in Asgard for most of there lives, unless they have already graduated then they will know each other.

Are we allowed an FC change?

You can change the FC if you do not like the one suggested however please check our banned fc's to make sure you do not put one of them down.

NO OOC DRAMA!

I have been on rp’s where there is nothing but ooc drama and I will not tolerate it here. If someone has a problem with someone please talk to the Admin about it and we will fix it. This place is designed for you all to have fun so please respect other people on here.

NO TEXT TALK

No text talk of any kind OOC or IC. I can not stand text talk its hard to read and some people from other countries struggle with it. If I see any on the dash or in the OOC blog you will be spoken to about it.

ACTIVE

There will be activity checks every 2 weeks, if you have not been active your characters will be reopened. Please let us no if you decide to leave. If you need to take a hiatus then please let us no so we can work something out with you.

MATURE CONTENT

This is an adult role play so all smut or any trigger warning subjects must go under read mores.

STORYLINES

Any major storylines including pregnancy, death, long term terminal illness’s must go through us before you going about posting about them. We do this to insure that it doesn’t in pact any other storylines and it works for the role play.

BLOGS

Please make a brand new blog when sending in your accepted character. No side blogs please.

CLOSED RP!

This is a closed rp meaning you can not reply to any other rp blog outside of this one. Only reply to those who are on the follow list otherwise it confuses other people. 

NO SPAMMING 

Please do not spam your blogs with constant pictures and gifs. I am putting this rule in because constant pictures and gif set spamming has a way of drowning current threads and posts. A maxium of three picture posts a day but please spread them out over put them on queue if you have to. Anyone who does not follow this rule will get a warning.
