The let your ship dare eachother thingy you did with SDVN implies that VC has studied how SM looks in his sleep for long enough that he can recreate it on the fly and I think that’s beautiful

I love sprinkling these small implications here and there whenever I can.

As for PV, well, you ought to know how your soulmate looks in his sleep when you've been living together for some time now. He notices these things and, I think, holds them very dear to his heart. Especially things he can see with his own eyes.

His staff is incredibly helpful in compensating for his poor eyesight. I like to think that he got used to it the same way people get used to glasses when they've been using them since childhood - you simply stop noticing it at some point and treat it as part of yourself.

So, seeing the world around him through his staff must feel very natural for PV at this point, but there are also moments when he might want to take it in with his own eyes. Even if it's blurry, unfocused, and lacks distinctive shapes, it still has great value for him. In knowing that he can still see part of it.

So, seeing Smilk’s sleeping form next to him in the mornings and seeing his face with his own eyes… Ah, well, it is very dear to him indeed🌿
