I 10000000000% agree with you. Denki on multiple occasions has proven himself more than capable, he's just overshadowed by the skill and intelligence of the class 1-A big three (everyone is tbh lmao). Like that one part in the provisional license exam arc when he was left on his own to save bakugo and kiri against that one tamaki rip off dude who makes human kebabs basically? Yeah that was all him. Sure, bakugo did give him his little grenade thingy but even then, kaminari was still able to devise a quick plan on his feet and save his 2 friends.
And like you said, U.A has written exams. The entrance exam is partly a written test, now how would denki have been accepted into class 1-A if he was a total idiot who supposedly is dumb enough to not pass written exams??
And like I live for the theory that he's the U.A traitor because if he is, then oh boy is he an absolute GENIUS, making himself the most unsuspecting person ever by adopting this ditzy dumb persona
