your post about gojo is so. yes.

i think it's also interesting when you consider the position he's in. he's so close to being a god but he's not, and that's entirely because of how human he is.

people seem to dehumanize him a lot in fics, and i get it; his character is hard to nail down and it's hard to depict how human he is without writing him out of character but i just wish there were more fics that explored that discrepancy

i think its really telling that he's literally the man who turned the universe on its head, he literally disrupted the balance, and yet he can't find his own place in the universe. he alone is the enlightened one, he's the strongest, yet he has this poignant fear of being alone that drives him to keep himself to be alone because his attachments in life has only reaped pain, and yet he still opens his heart to new people. it's this constant internal struggle within him.

gojo holds onto his title of the strongest, he flexes his power in front of the higher ups and he's reckless, because as getou said, "are you the strongest because you're gojo satoru, or are you gojo satoru because you're the strongest?" and i think those words haunt him to this day, especially after getou's death.

if he doesn't make use of what the universe gave him, then what's the point of all the struggle he had to go through because of it? so he's a pillar for everyone else in the jujutsu society. he leads the charge for change. but no one looks back to see him, who will eventually be left in the dust by his students, lose the one place he knew for certain was his because everyone's told him that since he was a kid.

The Strongest. not anymore. but now, what does he do? gojo doesn't know, because he has no one.

But it was nice to take a break and jump over to something a bit shorter! I enjoyed how this fic was chock full of Japanese customs. I don’t know anything, so it was a lot to think about! I 10000000000% agree with you. Denki on multiple occasions has proven himself more than capable, he's just overshadowed by the skill and intelligence of the class 1-A big three (everyone is tbh lmao). Like that one part in the provisional license exam arc when he was left on his own to save bakugo and kiri against that one tamaki rip off dude who makes human kebabs basically? Yeah that was all him. Sure, bakugo did give him his little grenade thingy but even then, kaminari was still able to devise a quick plan on his feet and save his 2 friends.

And like you said, U.A has written exams. The entrance exam is partly a written test, now how would denki have been accepted into class 1-A if he was a total idiot who supposedly is dumb enough to not pass written exams??

And like I live for the theory that he's the U.A traitor because if he is, then oh boy is he an absolute GENIUS, making himself the most unsuspecting person ever by adopting this ditzy dumb persona
