DONALD RUMSFELD SHOULD BE THROWN UP INTO SPACE
But look at how cool this is
What was with the amount of dog violence in SPN? In a series like Supernatural, the obvious answer is that the show is already killing off human characters in graphic manners and animals aren’t an exception, especially for spells. But animal parts were only ever referenced being used, at worst you might see the bones of something. I don’t remember anything too vivid and I’m a huge animal person so animal deaths in shows and movies tend to stick. And in SPN case, it absolutely does.
Remember Rumsfeld? Bobby’s dog that we saw once for a few seconds only to hear his implied murder minutes later? He was briefly heard barking in the Titanic timeline, but of course that was reversed and his fate was sealed once more.
Or Buster? The family dog in “Family Remains”. Yet another example of hearing them being presumably murdered. And that time we had to experience ominous writing in his blood.
Or the dog in “Repo Man”, which is the exact reason I’ve skipped that episode in all following rewatches. We stepped up from just hearing them being killed. That time we got to witness it through their silhouette as well.
And even Miracle is on this list, which him disappearing was probably the least traumatic manner of these examples. And his name is befitting because unlike the others on this list, he was permanently brought back.
SPN, you’re paying for my therapy…starting with the dog murders I’ve had to experience
guess who thought my winter break was a week longer than it actually was and signed up for way too many bangs with the justification that I could do it all over break and is now only sorta coping
this guyy 🫠
but dw, still managed to scrap this together from a sketch I started before I realized I was in trouble, because I needed a Bobby design for my splatoon au that has exactly one (1) fan (me sometimes). ironically I actually doubt this will be his permanent design but idk. also I don't actually have any in universe explanation for him being in a wheelchair but yeah that's a thing ig. his beard design is based on Captain Cuttlefish's spectacular beard, but I made it like it's kinda still greying by making the tips dark orange and the rest a lighter orange
I wanted to recreate Rumsfeld my beloved (aka the dog Bobby had for all of two brief shots before it was killed off screen) and after realizing pets aren't really a thing in splatoon for some reason, I was introduced to the concept of Marvel's Jeff the Land Shark and it was all downhill from there. side note but it's really hard to make a shark look old when they don't really have saggy skin or anything but I still picture Rumsfeld and Bobby to be kindred spirits or something in that they're both old and tired and have colors that are brighter than they feel (because this is a splatoon au and it needs color gjjgji)
so yeah. there's that

“The new command was given responsibility for the continental United States, Canada, Mexico, portions of the Caribbean and the contiguous waters in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans up to 500 miles off the North American coastline.
NorthCom’s mandate is to “provide a necessary focus for [continental] aerospace, land and sea defenses, and critical support for [the] nation’s civil authorities in times of national need.”

Appreciation post for Bobby's dog Rumsfeld
From Luke’s interview with Screenrant, 2021.
I always thought this response was such an intrigung insight into Luke’s mind. I mean, I think I, too, would be irritated & angered if I saw Donald Rumsfeld wandering about. 😏🤬 But the fact that Luke softened when he saw Rumsfeld wife, & it made him remember Rumsfeld had a life outside politics, is an interesting peek into Luke’s heart & mind.
My random Luke thought of the day. 🤷🏻♀️🤣
