gosh I'm really happy with that ending and I'm really happy with all of the twists and even though I was spoiled for how it ended it still made me want to cry and???? that's what I want from dystopian fiction. I want to see natural diversity and all aspects of society challenged and the hope that things can be a little bit better even though there's so much loss involved and I was so happy with the way they engaged with grief and knowing that it takes time to heal but it's so worth it and!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have so many feelings.

I know I’m like, the most biased possible person to respond, but he has had people hounding him for weeks now asking if he is a feminist/wanting verification from him that he is a feminist and I think he is feeling pressure from strangers and.idk.

I get that but it's still...dangerous? like the pressure sucks and actions speak louder than words but words are also pretty important. when you're trying to support a marginalized group it's really easy to fall into attitudes or behaviors that aren't appreciated by the group that you're trying to help. I know John Green is a feminist and it sucks that a lot of people don't realize he is but it's not acceptable to pat yourself on the back for good allyship and there was this faint element of that (even with the deeper context of him congratulating the crew and being pressured to show how feminist he is).

ahhhhhhh getting suck on the wrong bus at night is the worst

I was so irritated with myself for not double checking and I just felt lost with the whole thing but I guess you live and learn~ or something like that
